A clean room with a balcony. The bed was comfortable. The toilet was shared with another bedroom only. Very respectful. The staff was serviceable and very nice. Excellent location. Very good value for the money. The only inconvenience for certain people could be the steep stairs. I would stay there again.

This hotel was perfect for a solo traveler. The staff was so helpful, the breakfast so cozy, and the hotel is very well located right in front of a tram station, as well as another tram station around the corner. It is very easy to get around from there.

Great location, super friendly staff. Located above a market, and close to public transportation and bike rental places. The room was very comfortable, I slept great! The stairs are typical Amsterdam stairs, steep and twisty, I wouldn't want to carry a bunch of luggage up or down them! Would certainly stay here again on my next trip to Amsterdam.

Hotel Abba is in an ideal location for Vondel Park, Museum Area and Leidesplien. Staff are friendly and helpful. Very easy to get to by tram, direct from Central Station.

This place has a shared bathroom, but you're only sharing with one other room. Nice balcony and is above a grocery store and close to metro. The place is very old and could be a bit cleaner, but a good value for what you pay.

We had a lovely three-night stay at Hotel Abba (4–7 October), and all three of us would happily return. The location is excellent: directly above an Albert Heijn supermarket, around eight minutes' walk from Leidseplein, and with tram stops almost outside. During our visit, tram 17 ran directly to Amsterdam Centraal, making getting around very easy. Every member of staff was friendly and welcoming, particularly the gentleman who checked us in. The hotel was spotless, and the communal areas were full of interesting artwork. Our triple room with private bathroom was basic but comfortable enough for three friends. We really appreciated the complimentary kettle, tea, coffee, shampoo and toiletries. Breakfast was included (8–10am), with a good selection of cereals, cheeses, cold meats, juices and hot drinks. Free tea, coffee and biscuits at reception (8am–11pm) were another thoughtful touch, as were the balconies where we could sit outside and smoke. Our front-facing room had some street noise, as expected in such a central spot, and no air conditioning, which could matter in hotter weather. Neither affected our stay. Having our own keys for 24-hour access was handy. Overall, fantastic value for money, with warm service and thoughtful extras. We'd definitely stay again. Thank you, Hotel Abba!

If you just need a place to crash and it isn’t during a hot summer day it is alright. Room was very hot with no AC and street outside is too noisy for open windows at night.

Great option for a budget hotel in Amsterdam. The amenities and the look of the place is not fancy. It occupies the top floors of a building with a grocery store on the ground floor. You need steep stairs to get to the level where the reception is and then more steep stairs to get to the floors with the rooms. The rooms are adequate - we got 2 rooms with their own bathrooms. (I think that the price difference is worth it). The best things about the hotel are the very generous breakfast, the constantly available hot drinks + cookies in the lobby and definitely the location.

BED BUGS! Check the carpets- our bed looked fine but the carpets and walls are full of them. The rest of the room is very poorly cleaned, towels are stained, bathroom tile and grout was not scrubbed. The staff was ok, but also not shocked at all when we mentioned the bed bugs and immediately gave us a full refund. Which we appreciate but does not make up for the awful stay. Location is great and if they fixed the cleanliness it’s a good hotel. But as it is 0/10 would never recommend.
