Great location in the Museum district! Very quiet street, nice receptionists. We only stayed here one night prior to going to the airport, but loved the neighborhood. Convenient to great shopping and dining.

The location of the hotel is close to the museum area but a walk to the city centrum. The room we had was small buy livable with two twin beds side by side, The AC struggled to deal with the high evening temperatures, but we managed. All in all, a good place to stay in Amsterdam for a few days.

The hotel is tucked away in a quiet neighbourhood, yet still close to beautiful parks, trendy restaurants, canals, and shopping. It's a great refuge after a long day exploring the city. Our room was very comfortable and spacious for the 2 of us, and the hotel's backyard was very peaceful. We enjoyed sitting down for a cocktail (from the self serve 'honeaty bar' the hotel offers on site). Additionally, Roemer's breakfast is quite substantial and really tasty. I'm so glad we included that in the cost of our stay. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel and would be more happy to stay here again.

I was disappointed in this hotel. Here is what happened: Saturday: I arrived on Saturday and at 2 pm I reported shower head clamp broken. It wasn't mounted securely. The desk said it would be fixed. It wasn't. Sunday: The shower was terrible because the shower head was not mounted security. In the pm, the person at the desk took off broken counting clamp and promised to fix but could not find part. I was offered to take shower in another room for Monday am. Monday am: The clamp in other room was so bad I couldn't take shower there. The desk promised to fix the shower in my room that day. Later that day new clamp was put on. At around midnight fire alarm went off so had to get up and leave room. The desk said it was caused by someone smoking in their room and that this was the fault of the person in the room because "everyone was told not to smoke in their room". I do not smoke but I was not warned not to do so in the room. Tuesday: AM: clamp wasn't fascinated tightly so shower head fell and might have hit my foot. Complained again. Finally, in pm a high quality repair made was offered a 'free' breakfast (worth 13 euro pp). Wife did, I didn't. Wed am: Nice shower. When leaving elevator was broken so had to carry luggage two flights. Was told they would reduce our charges. They credited me for 30 Euros. 3 of 4 days I had no shower.
