Loved the location, for a canal side venue and view. We assumed it would be noisy, and it was. Amsterdam is a vibrant city. Our host checked in with us part way through the stay. The location was great for sightseeing, cafes, shops and key museums. It was pouring down when we arrived, so sailed past as didn't see the house number. Instructions /directions sent by the host through Expedia were not accessible.

Velvet B&B in Amsterdam was absolutely spectacular. Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 4 nights and actually looked to come back in August but it is fully booked! It is the perfect location right in the heart of the city centre and a 5 minute walk from Centraal. The room its self overlooked the canal which was beautiful and was quiet on an evening. David was so friendly and kind to us. We would recommend anyone to stay here!

Having stayed in Amsterdam a few times before, this was easily my favourite of the places I’ve stayed. Great central location, surprisingly spacious room, a warm and gracious host who will greet you when you arrive. On top of that, the bed was extremely comfy, with the room feeling more homely than you would expect from typical city hotels. Top stay!

We had a nice stay in Velvetamsterdam. Perfectly located in the red light district, but really quiet to be able to sleep. Bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. I totally recommend to stay at David’s!

In the heart on a canal, beautiful setting

Rear upstairs great view with local architecture, very well prepared for travelers, coffee, dishes, some power adapters, etc. Awesome, Incredible local, great host. If you want to eat ar the Omelette place around the corner get there early, a line forms.

The place was great. It was very convenient and we were able to walk to wherever we needed. The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. I would say that if you’re a light sleeper this may not be the spot for you. You can definitely hear the owners above the room when they’re walking and coming down the stairs in the morning, but if that doesn’t bother you (didn’t bother us) it’s a great place to stay!
