Ok hotel.

The room I booked was what I expected, it was okay. However, there are 2 things that were not okay. Firstly, there was a non stop murmuring noise outside the window of my room. Clearly, this noise impacted on my sleep quality. In effect, I hardly had any sleep at all because of this constant noise. When I looked out of room's window, there a generator of some description, which was more or less next to my room's window. To say I was not pleased, was an understatement. I went to Amsterdam to do the marathon on Sunday (19-10-26), and getting out of bed on Sunday morning, I felt mentally exhausted, which is not good. Finally, the location, what can I say, it wasn't the greatest of areas for a hotel location. It involved either a long walk from the nearest metro station, along a road that wasn't what you'd call picturesque, or you had to get a bus or tram from the metro station (De Vlugtlaan). The staff were okay, as was the room, but not impressed with the generator, and the lack of sleep as a result, or the hotel's location.
