“Overall, it was okay. You get what you pay for, and this was one of the cheapest lodging options. My biggest complaint is that the apartment smelled of old cigarettes, which is an allergy trigger for me. If I would have had the means, I would have cancelled the stay and found another place immediately. Luckily I came prepared with abundant allergy meds. There was food left from the previous guest. “Such a pretty and well maintained home away from home located in the center of town and quick walk or ride to everywhere we needed to visit owners answered alll questions and apartment was exactly as described and very well maintained we will be back ”

We cooked a couple meals and ate out a couple times - recommend Le Peeps for breakfast and Bandanas for BBQ. The area is downtown St Jo, and looks sketchier than it is. There are a bunch of places to walk to for food and drink. Recommend The Den for a quiet drink (alcoholic and non alcoholic) in a cozy, lounge type atmosphere. Loved the Pony Express Museum and Jesse James……
