“There was a wedding party and they were very loud all night long. The bathroom wasn't very clean. The lady that worked in the bar was very friendly, very helpful and very knowledgeable about the property and surroundings. She was the best part of the whole trip”

“The location of the hotel was great, lots of stores, restaurants (we loved King's Indian Cuisine) and gas stations in the surrounding area. Also only a 15 to 20 minute drive outside of KC. The room was very clean, the staff was very friendly. We had no problem with parking. The only real issue we had was concerning the jetted tub and the surrounding area. First and foremost the tile on the ground outside of the tub on the faucet side is completely unsealed from the ground and if you step closer……

“The night audit people was trying to be nice and helpful but when you leave two new employees less than 3 weeks to your business to run it by themselves thats horrible business matter. Management is slacking in this hotel and its showing.”

“Blinds in room didn’t keep light out of room made it hard to sleep towels where dingy some dirty didn’t use.”

“The breakfast staff was terrible, as soon as they put the breakfast out they went and stood right by the food with their arms crossed and starred at everyone's plates. They spoke Spanish and I do too they were talking about how much food was on people's plates and saying rude things. I travel often and never had this happen before it was a terrible experience it made me feel like never going back to that hotel again. Sucks because the rooms were clean and it was very close to worlds of fun but……

“Very helpful communication with Natasha regarding our arrival time and progress during our road trip, and very welcoming when we arrived after a long day of driving. Outstanding spotless and clean room! Delicious breakfast served at 9 o'clock, and a very accommodating and nourishing "to-go" breakfasts prepared for us on the road as we had over 550 miles to drive the following day, Woodstock is a definite stay if we pass through in the future!”

“Charles was an excellent host. His breakfasts were delicious and he made sure to accommodate for my dietary needs. His home is furnished perfectly for the time period yet still has all of the modern amenities. He has truly thought of everything. We enjoyed calling his cottage home for a few days.”

“The hotel was clean and staff was great. What we did like was the sort thin walls. We heard the neighbors partying until 5 am. Also, restaurants weren’t open during the day except one. I don’t think we would stay here again.”

“Ophelia's was a fantastic place! A comfortable and unique B & B that we found was mere blocks from the place & purpose of our visit to Independence. The room was very nicely decorated and had the usual TV, free internet & coffee as well as refrigerated beverages ($$) and fine liquors ($$). One big plus is that you can also purchase the Turkish cotton bathrobes that are provided to the guests (my wife liked them). There is elevator service to the rooms, which set directly above the restaurant.……
