million dollar view, but could have had a better experience
The view from the living room and the deck is spectacular. The apt is clean, comfortable, and good location. Check in was a disaster. We checked in on a french holiday and there was no one there to help us. We were directed to a lock box where the key was. We assumed the apt was in the same building as the key, Wrong, it was about a block and a half away up the hill. You entered the complex through the garage. In all, we spent two hours after arrival before entering our unit. Our other concern was that three months before arrival, we tried to modify our contract. We were still at least a month during the period when we could modify with no cost. We got no reply to our request and contacted vrbo to get their assistance. The host then responded that he would give us the money when we arrived. He said, he could not give us cash, that his credit card machine was not working, that he could not do a bank transfer, and that he could not do a credit through VRBO. I got in touch with VRBO and they contacted him and I got my money. I must have spent ten hours talking, emailing, texting and visiting with him and VRBO to get my money. I'm certain, that he thought he would just wait me out and not give me the money. So, while we loved the unit, location and the City, I would not stay with someone I didn't trust.
