The kindest hotel I have ever stayed at. Everything was indeed spotless, the food excellent, the view from my room striking, etc, but what stood out was the service. Lovely, lovely, hotel.
Excellent room, spacious and traditional, and the hotel very conveniently has a Lawson just 1 minute's walk away. Breakfast was a lovely spread of traditional and international foods.
Do note though, that some of the hot spring tubs in the photos require additional paid reservations, and are not included in the room stays.
The outdoor public onsen was great and very relaxing! That combined with the traditional room and dinner was a very cool experience. The staff were friendly and polite as well and were helpful in explaining the correct rules for wearing the yukata and using the onsen. Overall, a great stay.
I had a great stay. The staff was kind, helpful, and attentive. They answered any questions I had and I felt well-taken care of. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this location to others.
Amazing experience at this traditional Japanese hotel. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The private onsen was very relaxing, and worth paying the extra money if you are not comfortable getting into the public onsen naked.
The best was the Japanese style dinner and breakfast! It was beautifully presented and delicious!
Getting to the hotel from Hakone is quite a commute but we loved it and would recommend to anyone travelling to that area!
Good experience at a Japanese inn. Delicious dinners included. Tatami mat room, slept on futon. Public bath and outdoor onsen were great. Hiked to the top of Mt. Kintoki for a great view of Mt. Fuji.
This place was amazing. This is exactly what we were looking for to get away from the city during our Japan trip. The included dinner was perfect and filling. We got an in room massage and a private onsen. Staff was great and informative. Book it now!
My go-to hotel in Hakone. I love it! It is a bit hard to get to by public transport and even by car. But it is super worth!

Overall we enjoyed our stay here, food was very good and the room was large and traditional. The bath area was ok but nothing amazing. There wasn’t any view from the room or lobby area, no grounds to walk or sit outside.
Out of the way but still very worth it. I loved the traditional vibes the whole onsen had. Private Onsen is magical. Dinner was amazing. Got an on site massage. It was very good, might not be for everyone as their massaging pressure is hard. Perfect for me though since I was walking all over Japan.
Amazing experience. Staff were extremely accommodating. The whole place was super cool and felt traditional but had any amenities you need. The onsens were better than imagined and the food was the cherry on top. Buses could take you to the pirate ship or hikes all within a 10 min drive. For 3 people (all men), it was more than enough room. Would recommend to anyone coming to Japan.
I stayed for 2 days and it was wonderful. Hot spring was good and I tried to go there every morning and evening. You can buy some food in the hotel or convenient store near the hotel(5min by foot). I recommend meals especially dinner. I can go to the hotel for eating dinner. I want to go to the hotel again with my family or with alone.
