Arcata Forest Retreat: Peaceful Redwood Suite 5 min to Downtown Arcata w Firepit

Find your bliss in this lovely, *quiet* forest retreat! A mere 5 minute drive to the downtown plaza, this private, 400 sq ft suite has comfortable amenities, tasteful ambiance, and a very accommodating host to offer local recommendations. The suite is attached to a home, but securely sectioned off to have its own entrance with plenty of privacy. The bedroom has a very comfortable memory foam queen-sized bed with quality linens, a smart TV, lots of natural light and well-loved plants. It connects to a full bathroom with a shower and basic toiletries. The second bedroom has a very comfortable twin memory foam bed with a kitchenette (not full kitchen) and a dining area. Mini-fridge, microwave, counter-top oven/toaster, electric kettle, and a Keurig for making coffee are all included, along with dishes, glasses, basic food prep-ware, coffee and tea supplies. The wifi is strong for all your streaming and online needs. Arcata Forest Retreat also boasts its own private, small patio at the entrance with a soothing fountain, seating, and a propane fire pit. This suite does share some walls, so we require and honor "quiet hours" from 9pm-9am.

From this house you can walk 5 minutes to amazing hike/bike trails, drive 5 minutes to downtown Arcata/Cal Poly Humboldt, drive 10 minutes to Arcata Marsh and Humboldt Bay, or 15 minutes to a variety of pristine beaches. Humboldt is all about NATURE: Hike, bike, surf, raft, kayak, paddle board. Finish your active day with excellent restaurants/bars/entertainment downtown.

This property has outdoor security cameras (outward facing only) located at the top of the driveway and on the private back patio of this unit.

A great place to be home base when visiting family.

Communication with owner was fabulous! The place looked just like the pictures, small but perfect! Very clean! Cozy and warm! It was pouring rain and we were lulled to sleep. Great place!

What an amazing place to stay! Everything is sparkling clean and beautiful. The bed was comfortable with quality bedding and pillows (slept great.) Everything was well organized and communicated. The little fire pit and searing outside was very sweet. And it’s just a short walk to great forest hiking! My host was helpful but I also felt Like I had plenty of privacy. I highly recommend!!

Perfect for father/son quick visit

I visited Arcata with my 18-year-old son to tour Cal Poly Humboldt and do some mountain biking. Andrea's apartment was absolutely perfect for this, and I only wish we could have stayed longer! The neighborhood is quiet and residential, but with easy access to town, campus, and the trail system. Andrea was a wonderful host and the apartment is perfectly appointed. I appreciated the Peet's coffee K-cups. I could not have asked for anything more. The almond toffee chocolate cookies were off the hook!

My wife and I left Arcata Forest Retreat this morning after what may have been our easiest and most comfortable trip stay. Andrea has clearly put a LOT of thought and effort into curating a comfortable and clean space, with just about everything you'd need. The house rules are incredibly reasonable (and clearly outlined for you with no room for confusion) and the accommodations are abundant. We were greeted with a cozy and modern room filled with complimentary coffee, a great variety of tea, and a plate of delicious toffee cookies from a local bakery. Overall we had a lovely experience and highly recommend this host, Thank you Andrea! -Nichole &Luna

I had the most wonderful stay at this lovely little space tucked away in the forest! The setting was absolutely serene—surrounded by towering trees, fresh air, and the soothing sounds of nature. Our stay at Forest Retreat

This VRBO Forest Retreat was well appointed, very modern, clean, had a great garden just outside the windows, had all the appointments we needed. We enjoyed the kitchen, bedroom was comfortable and bath had all we needed. Thank you for a lovely place to stay.

I really liked your place, very clean and nicely decorated. The bed matress was really nice,- I often come to a sagging matress.. but here i could stay in bed all day, it was quiet,- and very clean…Definitely not a place for kids under 6-8 yo.We were here to visit w family and it worked out great. Woodsy Retreat

This was a perfect rental for our overnight stay. Very quiet neighborhood, and the rental itself is situated for greatest privacy. Excellent communication with Andrea, the proprietor. I highly recommend this very sweet woodsy retreat!

Andrea and Rachel really have outdone themselves! This place is nestled in the rear of a larger home with a sliding glass door entrance and beautiful fountain area to greet you. The trickle of the water through the screen door while relaxing after a long day of work was such a special treat! The bed is amazing and the cookies Andrea leaves for you are delicious! The hostess has a wonderful list of nearby walks and eateries. Murphy’s, the local grocery, is gourmet! Take a walk in the community forest or down by the marsh, and drive over to Eureka on Friday night for food trucks and lovely shopping! Don’t miss this retreat!
