「Fridge was off balance and missing parts. Would have been nice to have a sink in the washroom. Had to wash hands and brush teeth in kitchen sink. Otherwise it was cute and clean.」

「VRBO-style check-in available any time, great for working professionals/people arriving late. Fantastic ocean views and an amazing beachfront breakfast downstairs. Staff is very responsive via text and have always been super accommodating. Overall fantastic service and experience.」

「Amazing place!!! Book it you will not regret it. Got to wake up to the elk every morning. 」

「The cottage is very cozy and very clean and easy to find. The location was isolated enough that you couldn't hear the traffic but close enough to the highway to make access easy. It was a bit strange that there was no microwave. The cottage is mainly heated with a wood stove, but we were really not supplied with the things we needed to start a fire. And the property was not even close to being accessible for anyone with leg issues or injuries because of the steps without railings and the tub...

「A beautiful, well-appointed house at the southern end of the Redwoods. After a full day of visiting the parks, we loved coming back to this secluded little cottage and settling in for the evening. Highly recommended!」

「I loved everything about my stay」

「It was clean, warm and cozy」

「It’s a cosy little cabin in the middle of eureka. The check-in instructions were clear and precise. I was in town for a reunion so I really only used it for sleeping. I didn’t cook. It was perfect for a solo traveler; might be a bit tight for a couple. The best part for me was the location —- close to Harrison and Harris and Henderson and H Street. Very affordable and much quieter than Broadway.」

「The place was clean and bedding comfortable. The 2 bedroom listing was a bit deceiving, the 2nd bedroom also includes the kitchenette, dining area and no living or lounging space. The space was very tiny and cramped. The 1 bedroom was a nice size and the bathroom was in there. There was only 1 window and it was high on the wall. The outdoor space was very small. For me it felt a bit claustrophobic and not worth the price we paid.」

「Wonderful stay, great location, very communicative and welcoming host!」

「Great proximity to Redwoods..and hiking!」

「This is a delightful location. It's very peaceful and quiet. The burgeoning garden outside the door is lovely! It's possible to walk up the street and right onto a hiking path through a redwood forest, and have the path essentially all to yourself. Julia went above and beyond to help me with an issue I had in making my reservation. She's a kind and hospitable host! Highly recommended.」

「Alder Cottage was lovely! It is continently located near the charming town of Trinidad with easy access to the national and state parks. We really enjoyed our stay. It was the highlight of our CA road trip.」

「Very clean and organized. We enjoyed our stay.」

「The rooms provide enough comfort if you need a spot just for rest, met all basic needs nicely here without fussing over little details.」

「This little cottage was adorable and I wish we could have had a little longer stay but we were up and exploring most of the time. Great location for a Redwoods visit. The property was clean, the alpaca was super cute and overall unbothered by our presence. The only thing we found a little tricky was knowing which gate to enter the cottage threw, we were unsure if opening up and walking through the alpaca enclosure was the right way to go so just a little more description in the check in...
