If breaking away from life’s hustle and bustle to experience a little peace and solitude in a beautiful coastal setting is what you are seeking, then look no further than Cove Beach Forest Splendor. This updated home features a spacious living area with a large wood stove, ideal for warming up to on those cool winter days, plus floor-to-ceiling windows that allow guests to take in stunning views of the surrounding forest and the Pacific Coastline.

This home's private location backs up to Oswald West State Park, with its lush forest and numerous trails to explore. It is also just one block away from a point that allows access to secluded Cove Beach. The coastal city of Manzanita is a short drive to the south, where you can find numerous eating options or get in a round or two at the local golf course. The charming community of Cannon Beach, with its wide variety of restaurants, shops, and famous Haystack Rock, is just eight miles north.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Great location
Beautiful large house, super easy to walk to beach. Basement was musty and we couldn’t sleep there. Little touches, like coffee machine neglected but overall a great stay and would do again

The home was beautiful with excellent lighting and communal space to eat and play games. My only concerns were that the Wi-Fi information listed at the house was wrong and since there is no cell service it was a struggle to get ahold of the property managers to get the correct information. There was also no information about the area, the house, or things to do on site ( usually there is a binder with details). The listing also shows an outside fire pit and there isn’t one. We had a lovely time… but these details were challenging.

Beautiful Location!!
The furniture is a bit outdated but we didn't care. A lot of burnt out light bulbs or switches that weren't working. Wifi works but we couldn't make any calls but also didn't bother us. Definitely need more patio seats. There is no longer a fire pit as advertised. Stunning views!!! We eloped on Short Sand Beach while staying here and for our purposes it was perfect 😍

Beautiful place and location
We were all impressed with the beauty of the property as well as the location. We could walk to the beach which was spectacular. It was also a short drive to many other locations we wanted to experience (Short Beach, Haystack/Cannon Beach). We all loved it and wished we could have stayed longer.

Great family house. Plenty of room
We're 4 adults and a child and stayed for a week. The living room, dining area and kitchen gave us plenty of room to do various things at a time and be comfortable. Wonderful outside deck that we used all during the day. In response to past reviews, the owners have provided new, nice cookware, more dishes, and fans upstairs. Plenty of storage room. We did almost all our cooking there, and made many wonderful meals. The house was very clean, and well stocked with towels, etc. Convenient mud room on the ground floor made it easy to drop sandy/dirty shoes and clothes so it wasnt tramped through the house. A definite rent again place.

Perfect location.
The view and location were absolutely beautiful. Like no other, pure heaven. A 2 minute walk to a gorgeous beach. The house is gorgeous. However the linens and sofa were extremely old and outdated. When we entered the house it was smelly and stuffy, opening the windows really helped. And the wifi didn’t really work and there is limited cell service. So don’t plan on working remotely from the house. That said this house is stunning and very comfortable. The real issue was check in. We arrived at 5 pm after a long drive. Our instructions were a electric door code, there was no electric key pad. There was however a lock box but the code did not work. We sat outside with our luggage and kids for over 3 hours on the phone. That hardly worked. Terrible Communication. Plus no one followed up to check to make sure we ever got in the house. Due to the location and the space we would stay again. But we would demand communication ahead of time.

Beautiful views, peaceful and quiet.
Communication from Vacasa indicated a WiFi network that wasn’t available. After some aggravation and confusion we found the info on the appropriate WiFi network out of the way printed and placed in a picture frame. The info needs to be in a prominent place in the living room or on the kitchen counter. Also there were four remotes, two of which were not needed for the TV. Better instructions would have been appreciated. All in all we really enjoyed our stay! It was a wonderful retreat.
