I loved my stay. The owner was very nice and welcoming. The whole staff were kind and friendly. The room was comfortable with a terrace over looking the beautiful area. There is roam to roam in the property. It’s very convenient to town yet situated where it’s quiet and relaxing.

Amazing Italian Villa in the Mountain

This hotel was above and beyond amazing. I love peace and quiet!!! The fact that this was located up in the mountains and away from everything is what inspired me to book it. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who doesn’t want to be directly on the water. Thank you again for everything :)

Amazing, affordable stay in argegno. Room was clean and cozy, comfy. Surrounded by the beautiful mountains and a small church next by where u can see the lake from. Great location , 30 min drive to menaggio and main attractions.

An Unforgettable Stay – Highly Recommended!

From the moment we arrived, our experience at this hotel was simply wonderful. We were warmly welcomed by Mr. Griglia, who personally guided us to our room, showed us how everything worked, and even provided us with a map of the lake. His local tips were invaluable – he advised us to book tickets for some of the villas in advance, which allowed us to enjoy Lake Como to the fullest. During our stay, we had lovely conversations with Mr. Griglia and learned about the fascinating history of the hotel, his family, and the surrounding area. His hospitality truly made us feel at home. The restaurant was another highlight. We ordered the Griglia, a platter for two with a mix of all kinds of meat – and wow! It was delicious, and honestly enough for four people. Even though we couldn’t finish it, every bite was incredible. To top it off, Mr. Griglia offered us some grappa to taste, which was a delightful and very welcome surprise. Breakfast was served in the garden, a calm and peaceful setting to start the day. I especially loved the nuts served with a nutcracker – such a charming detail that made the atmosphere even cosier. Overall, this hotel gave us not just a place to stay, but a truly memorable experience. We are already looking forward to coming back!

L'accueil a été fantastique. L'hôtel est dans la montagne au-dessus du lac de Côme. Le restaurant de l'hôtel est excellent avec des pâtes fraîches et des accompagnements de saison. En septembre, des 'prcinin mushroom' frais. Délicieux! 😋😋😋

Bel hotel avec un excellent restaurant. L'emplacement, en retrait de la route principale, permet un certain calme. De plus, le village d'Argegno, avec un arrêt de bus et un depart de bateau, est accessible à pied en une vingtaine de minutes (mais par un chemin assez raide). En résumé, parfait pour visiter la partie centrale du lac de Côme.

Hotel super confortável, atendimento e acolhimento pelo Lino e sua equipe, muito educados e atenciosos. O local possui um restaurante, para almoço e jantar recomendo, comida excelente, local romântico. Ao lado tem uma capela, Sant’Anna, uma passarela para caminhada até ao lago, mercado à 20 minutos, Cidade de Como 30 minutos, ambos de carro, e Argegno tem a balsa para ir de carro a Bellagio. Cadre tres agreable et paisible, avec une bonne situation geographique qui permet de visiter les environs ! Nous avons mangé au restaurant de l'hotel, tout etait tres bon ! Un petit dejeuner simple mais suffisant avec un delicieux jambon. Le personnel etait sympathique et disponible. Seul point negatif, les volets et rideaux laissent pas mal de lumiere rentrée dans la chambre et la nuit de forts bruits (camions poubelles?) Nous ont reveillés a plusieurs reprises.. Nous avons tout de meme apprecié notre passage au sein de cet établissement ! Merci a tous.

Fina rum och en mysig trädgård. Restaurangen var bra service och god mat. Hotellet ligger högt upp i bergen och en promenadväg ner till byn. Promenaden ner var ok men upp mycket arbetsam i värmen. Men väl värt det.

Hôtel situé sur les hauteurs du lac de Côme, au calme, très beau jardin, emplacement voiture ombragé. Le personnel est très professionnel et sympathique, service excellent, spécialités italiennes à découvrir ! : pâtes, viandes grillées, desserts glacés de qualité… La décoration, les murs peints et très colorés donnent une ambiance originale atypique. Merci au propriétaire pour ses suggestions de visites et ses conseils. Le dîner dans le jardin est très agréable, le petit déjeuner copieux et varié.

Wir machten eine Motorradtour. Es war Ende September und kalt. Die Zimmer waren nicht beheizt. Sehr gute Küche allerdings auch nicht ganz preiswert.

A hidden jewel!!!

If you want to enjoy the beautiful Lake Como but avoid the noisy hustle and bustle by staying on the lakeside then please consider La Griglia. It is only a few kilometres behind Argegno and away from the crowded lakeside it makes a perfect retreat. Set in a beautiful garden, run by friendly family owners and attended to by friendly helpful staff ..oh and good food as well what more could you ask for. We would thoroughly recommend it and will definitely stay there on our next trip to the lake.
