The house is located five minutes (walking) from the town square and two blocks away from the viewpoint. It is an ideal place to rest, to observe nature from the internal terrace and to discover one of the most wonderful places in Colombia.

The house has a traditional architecture and has an internal forest that helps to find peace and tranquility. It is located in a very quiet spot within Salento and is very close to all the services and attractions that this city has to deliver.

This house is located in a bad location in the town, lots of high hills streets, if you want to eat you will need to climb up and down hills to get to the mail plaza . The house is open the kitchen and rooms face open in the jungle exposed to mosquitos, and many other dangerous animals. It’s very good no Heaters, rains every nigth and the house is open Rooms are horrible bugs all Over, bed bugs, spiders and all Kings of insects Water in the sinks is freezing no hot water Kitchen is horrible . I had bed bug bites all over my body and sido my family got bed bug bites it was horrible The TV did not work . This was a horrible horrible experience the pictures do not show what this house is about Do not stay here , linden is Discusting full of bed bugs . Matrrreses are Discusting dirty

Weekend getaway

We stayed at Casa La María for 2 nights, the house has a lot of character, bedrooms were ok. Beds comfortable enough and covers to keep you warm at night. Bathrooms clean, hot water takes a little bit to come out but it works. Kitchen is outdoor, we didn’t use it, we did hear racoons in the early morning digging through the garbage. Short walk to the plaza. Communication with host was easy.

What a fantastic place to stay when visiting Salento, off the busy main street offers you a traditional little town Colombian house with a very unexpected interior. This house is perched in the mountain!! The outside living room area and kitchen are amazing outside but inside at the same time. The view, the feel of nature, the birds not only flying around but chirping. Communication with the host and administrator Adriana was superb. I will definitely come back to stay at this house. Thank you. Mil Gracias.
