"We had a wonderful stay at the Radisson Blu Aruba. The standout feature for us was the accommodation: the suites are massive, modern, spotlessly clean, and offer a ton of living space, which made a huge difference for our family comfort. The property grounds are beautifully maintained, and the courtyard pool area is fantastic."
"When reading reviews before booking I found only 2 negatives: 1. no direct beach access, 2. smell of waste water treatment facility located near by. Yes, both are true, but totally insignificant. 1. Yes, you have to cross the road to get to the beach, but the road is narrow and traffic is very light and distance from hotel to beach is only about 2 minutes - so this is no issue. 2. The smell - yes there is a smell sometimes (2-3 times per day, but not every day, lasts only maybe 30 minutes, not on the beach only around hotel) - the smell is not pleasant but also not terrible. It is not "fecal odor" type but rather "fermenting odor" (like when you are passing beer brewery) and because there is a constant breeze or wind it is bearable - so this is no issue.
Now the good things: hotel is well equipped, clean, employees at reception are efficient and pleasant (we needed a rental car, they arranged for one within minutes and car rental picked us up). Buildings are 1 story so no need to ride elevators, there are no crowds, no rowdy teenagers - simply you feel like you came to visit your favored relatives for holidays. Beach is clean, turquoise water without any sea weeds, free beach chairs and palapas (fyi 2 chairs with umbrella for non-hotel guests cost $40). And last but not least - price of this hotel is reasonable comparing to high rise hotels at Palm Beach. On the other hand, if you are young, single and want to mingle you should choose Palm Beach, there is a lot of "action"."
Holiday Inn Resort Aruba - Beach Resort & Casino by IHG
8/10 Good
"20+ years & we always go back to the Holiday Inn Resort Aruba because it's affordable, clean, near great restaurants, shops, & most importantly the staff. The staff are very friendly & treat you with respect. Our housemaid Odra was wonderful & Jean a good friend, & Roy from the towel hut were Excellent & always had our palapa set up for us. John, our dear friend from the luggage care always a sweetheart & has become like family to us. We thank the Holiday Inn for our complimentary bottle of Champagne for our 15th Wedding Anniversary & for trying to make us feel comfortable with offering us a room change due to the A/C being weak in our room. However, we loved the room so much we stayed & just tried to adapt. Cooperate needs to stop trying to save money & using the excuse of going green by controlling the thermostats at only 68 F. degrees in an Oceanfront room on the top floor under the roof is ridiculous. The room never cools off at that temperature & makes your guest uncomfortable. To instruct your staff to LIE to the customer that it can't go any lower is shameful. The manager did try to rectify the situations with a room change but all the rooms in the entire hotel are set at that temperature therefore, changing our primo room was not an option. Even though, the room temperature upset us, but thanks to the lovely staff & wonderful people of Aruba we had an awesome relaxing time. Holiday Inn Resort Aruba corp. listen to your quest and allow them to have thermostat control!"
"This was unexpectedly a great stay. The pool vibes were unmatched for a Marriott. The location was also great for those who don't mind walking a little bit for nightlife. Will definitely come back soon!!!"
"All the staff were terrific EXCEPT the housekeeper. The floors were FILTHY. My last 2 days 6/23/26 & 6/24/26 -my bed was not made, no replacement of bath towels, kitchen towels for drying, hand towels, AND bath mats to step on.
* I didn't call the desk, as I thought there might be a staffing issue for a day.
On 6/24 I didn't get back to my suite until 9pm and found my bed unmade again, I had to reuse a washcloth, there was no bath mat towel.
I was given a suite because I am disabiled especially with my back, legs and feet.
The shuttle drivers were awesome and used a step for me to get on & off."
"It went great the service was exceptional I love everything about this place. My favorite was coming down getting my Starbucks coffee and taking the boat to flamingo island every morning"
"The Divi Phoenix resort was beautiful! The rooms in my suite were spacious and the views amazing! I loved having 2 balconies and even a desk for my husband to work when he had to! The only negative is that the room had a coffee maker but no coffee or tea provided, and there were no decently priced grocery stores/convenience stores nearby. Would have to take a taxi, which was pretty expensive. So, plan ahead, if you want your own snacks/drinks for the room!
The beach was amazing and we were walking distance to so many great restaurants! It took us two days to realize it though! The staff were all great and the happy hours were nicely spread out between bars! We had a fabulous time!"
