We had a perfect stay at the chalet, we'll definitely be back

The chalet location feels very remote, but it's not far from civilization. The privacy and amenities were exactly what we were looking for, and we had everything we needed. The driveway is very steep and narrow, just something to be aware of. We'll definitely plan to return.

Perfect weekend get away!

Our host, Brea, was excellent. She communicated with us before, during, and after our stay. The home was well lit, clean, and very inviting. The bed was very comfortable and the bathrobes were a nice touch! The driver recommendations that Brea provided really were appreciated. The home has all the amenities that one could want in weekend get away!

Spectacular Mountains

If you could give a 5+++ this property would fit the bill! From the pre=prep information from the host, to the directions while on the property, we always knew what to expect. The accommodations were well appointed, clean, and the view, spectacular! Sitting in the outdoor hot tub, beautiful fall leaves around us, you could not ask for a more relaxing and awe inspiring get away - we will be back, Chris and Peg

Wedding weekenders

We had a great time at this property. It was in a great location and had a great view! The hot tub was a plus for sure. Everything was clean and we felt right at home. We had all traveled 8+ hours for a wedding in Asheville and we were close to everything we needed! Would stay at one of Breas properties again!

Secluded beautiful home

This home was very nice and well kept. We had a peaceful and relaxing stay! The view was wonderful. The house had everything we needed and Brea was such a pleasure to work with. She really takes hospitality to the next level. The thing I enjoyed the absolute most was watching the hummingbirds and butterflies every morning. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Quiet Retreat

My friend requested a place in the woods with a hottub and this did not disappoint. The chalet is in a small community with neighbors few and far between. We were a group of 5 and had plenty of space and room and never felt cramped, which has happened in previous cabins. Highly recommend having breakfast on the porch every morning as the views do not disappoint. We somehow were the only group that saw virtually zero wildlife during our stay besides the odd hummingbird or monster sized moth. Brea and David were great and checked in a couple times to ensure everything was good. One thing to note if you arrive late at night, like our group did, it’s a very narrow road and the driveway is EXTREMELY steep upon approach.

Beautiful property and amazing views

The location is absolutely stunning. We have a very relaxing vacation just sitting on the deck in the evenings and hot tub. The city is absolutely gorgeous and we had plenty of places to see and be entertained during the day.

Sisters Mountain Getaway

If you are looking for a secluded, quiet property to allow you to spend time with ones you love, Quietude us it! If you also want to be close to a cute little town with plenty of art, shopping, and foodie options, this is also the place for you! The home was comfortable for all three of us. Little unexpected touches around the place and the fabulous views of the landscape from the back porch made this a vacation we will not soon forget!

Wonderful Mountain Getaway

We had a wonderful stay. House was well equipped with everything we needed for a family of four adults. We enjoyed mornings on the deck and the hot tub at night. There is a drive from the main road to the house so we would plan our days accordingly so we didn't have to make multiple trips to town. So peaceful and beautiful.

perfect quiet mountain house

We enjoyed our week. The house is very comfortable and convenient to many attractions. Brea has thought of everything - including homemade laundry detergent! I recommend making a meal plan and a complete shopping trip so that you can enjoy the house without having to go down the mountain.

We loved our stay, the only drawback was the drive from there to downtown was farther than we realized and not being mountain drivers it was a little spooky driving back in the dark. Brea was fantastic at giving suggestions on hiking, eating and things to do

Terrific spot

Wonderful time, even with less than ideal weather, at the Chalet. Pictures don't do it justice. It's located at the end of the road, so there is no passing traffic adding to the sense of solitude -- and yet we were easily able to access downtown Asheville for dinners. Great support and communication, including when we ran out of propane -- delivery in time to save the porkchops!

3 generational Asheville adventure

I fell in love with Asheville when I stayed at GPI 17 years ago. I wanted to share the amazing area with my mom and daughter. I chose Brea’s home based on the beautiful pictures and great reviews. The chalet exceeded our expectations! It was mountainously remote yet centrally located to airport, downtown, Black Mountains, Grove Park area. The chalet was so comfortable and well appointed. The layout was perfect! The bedrooms comfy! Hope to return sooner than later!!

Relaxing Retreat

This was the perfect place to come home to after a long day of hiking or touring Asheville. The view was breathtaking, and the highlight was seeing 3 bear cubs climbing a tree right near the house! The house was very clean and was well stocked with everything you could need. Brea was the perfect host and gave us many many suggestions! We hope to be back for longer next time!

Simply Amazing!!!

If you are looking for a gem in the mountains near Asheville, Chalet Quietude won't disappoint! The climb up the mountain is completely worth it when you see the view! Several friends and I were looking for a weekend getaway to celebrate a birthday and thanks to our host, Brea, it was a weekend we will remember. The place is exactly as its described and an easy 15 minute drive to Asheville. Working with Brea was great! The perfect amount of communication...from pre-trip information...to check-in details...to the first morning touch base to make sure you have everything you need! Brea, thank you for being a super host! P.S. Besides the normal places to visit...Biltmore House, The Grove Park Inn...if you are looking for 90 minutes of fun, check out LaZoom Tours. It's a fun, interactive "history" tour of Asheville.

Clean with gorgeous views and Asheville 15 min away

This cabin has gorgeous views and everything was clean and well stocked in the kitchen as well as plenty of blankets and pillows with comfy beds and couches, TVs in every room, good WiFi, and even portable radiators if needed! Brea and her husband were great communicators throughout our stay for any questions we had. We have 2 teenagers, we hiked, went to the Biltmore, downtown Asheville, and spotted deer three times in a matter of 4 days!.

As Gem Tucked Away on a Mountain Road

The propery was perfect, along with the communication provided us. Brea does a wonderful job covering all the bases, making going to a place you've never been before an easy experience. Lovely property, very good experience

We enjoyed a long autumn weekend at Chalet Quietude in 2021 and we had a great experience. We've rented many properties in different countries and this was one of our best experiences. The house is very well appointed and extremely well labelled for ease of finding everything. The communication from Brea and David was outstanding and the house has many tasteful instructions for light switches, where to find things and how to use the streaming television. We also appreciated Brea's recommendations on hikes in the area and restaurants. We took her recommendation for Copper Crown and had a delicious meal and great service. We are kind of foodie and definitely recommend this restaurant. Thank you Brea for the beautiful property and great experience.

Gorgeous mountain getaway

We had a great time at this house. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked and spacious, the place was clean. Brea was a helpful and informative host - be prepared for her to send you all the information you might want about Asheville and her cottage (be prepared to be overwhelmed by it, then go through it at your leisure - you can plan your whole stay out of her information).
