"What happened to Marriott brands? We stayed at the Castleton (Indiana) one this past weekend and . . well . . the room was very clean; that’s the best I can say and maybe that’s enough for you. On the other hand: The wall thermostat was broken (or never was operational) so we had a floor unit beside the window that sounded like a propeller forcing air from the far end of the room. Yet, the ambiance was fitting for a room with only one device port. In 2026, at a Hilton hotel, there is one only device port (Type A) and that’s not even part of the room - it’s on the alarm clock. Perhaps other rooms are better? I considered requesting a different room since ours was located next to the ice machine. Alas, the ice machine is broken and I’m guessing that they all are. Sadly, we brought along kids who excitedly hoped to use the “featured” indoor pool. Thinking I was being proactive, I actually called beforehand to confirm that the pool was operational (since it was the key factor in our reservation); I was assured by the front desk that it was. Yes, it is “functioning” but at a very cold 73 degrees - only one kid could survive the cold pool and only barely. We then asked that the pool temperature be warmed, we were assured that it would be, but 3 days later and still just as cold. One advertisement says of this hotel that it has “free breakfast;” but we discovered that the only breakfast is for purchase. In the end, this is a good place to go if you only want a clean room."

"For the cost it was a perfect place to stay. It was clean, quiet and the staff was nice. The breakfast was continental so cereal, yogurt and waffles were as expected. Coffee was good and always ready. I would stay again if in the area."
