Takapuna Motor Lodge
Place was ok but dated, needed a more thorough clean (marks on walls etc) and desperately needs double glazing. The windows are so thin and the joinery hard to open/close and as it's on a main road it's very loud. I imagine winters would be freezing! Could do with a smart TV as well to stream our ...

SkyCity Hotel
Large, clean room with good facilities. Handy location near to CBD - about 10 min walk to downtown. Most meal and bar outlets are not in main building but across a small adjoining lane way which wasn't explained and I didn't discover until breakfast. So dinner was somewhere else.
