Stay at the Homestead

The house was warm, inviting, and comfortable. The outside needed TLC, it was overgrown and kind of a mess. The hot tub was not kept up and needed help.

Quiet Retreat Close to All the Fun

A great house that was very cute and very clean. Everyone agreed that the beds were comfortable. We absolutely loved the hot tub during a chilly evening! Drinking coffee on the deck in the morning, surrounded by nature, was so peaceful and relaxing. Yet, it was a short drive to all of the things we wanted to do in Dripping Springs. Highly recommend this place!

Beautiful house in the quiet country!

This house was beautiful! Clean, spacious, with all the amenities. We read books (amazing library!), relaxed in the hot tub, roasted marshmallows, and enjoyed day trips to Pedernales Falls, Johnson City and Fredericksburg. The house is literally only 45 min from our home in Austin but it’s such a quiet area, and on a property big enough that it’s super private and just idyllic. Highly recommend! Would totally stay there again.

Wedding getaway for our son

The place was lovely and was perfect for the family we had with us plus a couple of pups. The house was clean and had the essentials an available in both kitchen and bathroom. Our only mishap was no working tv and with stars and Mavs in the playoffs my husband was a little irritated not being able to get the tv to work despite troubleshooting as the owners suggested. The chairs on the back porch could use some cushions as the wicker seats were pretty much shot. My adult girls did the hot tub one night and i might suggest some solid lights to light the path at night because it is pitch dark out thete at night. Other than those minor details we had a great stay, the town of Drip is lovely and we come here often. Please check out Treaty Oak distillery when you visit, they are also dog friendly outdoors and carry some great rum whiskey and bourbon!

Everything was great! My only concern/issue was that the pack and play didn't have a mattress pad. The bottom of the pack and play is too hard for a baby to sleep on. We had to find blankets and a comforter to line the bottom of it so that it was soft enough for my infant. Which ended up being fine. I would recommend ordering one for future families that may want to rent baby equipment. Other than that we didn't have any issues! Loved our stay!
