Comfortable home with amazing private pool

Quiet family vacation

When you enter this home, you instantly get the smell that it is someone's grandparents home. (It's a nostalgic smell). It is an older home, not a place I would recommend for parties, but for small families to have a peaceful getaway. The outside property is beautiful. The pool was perfect for my boys to play all day and my husband and I had plenty of options to lounge around the pool. The house had everything we needed and the neighborhood is quiet and safe. Home is close to several restaurants and grocery stores. Would definitely use this home again as our quick family weekend relaxation and play!

Do not stay here if you cannot do stairs and want to be able to shower.

I did not wind up staying at this property and am currently disputing my charges. The listing never stated that the only shower in the home is a flight and a half of stairs up. There is no shower or bed (other than a pull out couch that is in the only room with a tv) on the first floor, the toilet in the first floor is unable to fit a walker or crutches. Had we known these details we would not have booked this home. The home was also very stale and hot when we arrived, it was over 100 degrees outside and the ac was set to 75 and would not go lower than 70. The home was shut up and the cleaners did an awful job, the window sills, and refrigerator were full of small dead bugs, the light switches didn’t work, the being fan shook so hard that it was scary, yet the only way to move the sale air. VACASA was contacted and after 3 hours of back and forth and them not understanding the importance of needing a shower after a 15 hour drive, were unwilling to refund or move us to a property that had reasonable accommodations. They sent a cleaner to pull out the couch and vacuum the bugs but no lightbulbs and the cleaner deemed the ceiling fan safe. We left once we realized they were going to ignore our messages and not provide any kind of assistance due to their misinformation on the listing. I had booked this property because I had planned to take my dogs, yes this is a pet friendly property and I have stayed in many, the smell in the home was not a “lived in, pet home”.
