“You can't beat this location! Just a few doors down from Frenchman street, you can hear the music all night - yes that includes after you want to go to sleep - so make sure to pack your earplugs. The space was cute and nicely maintained. Little touches all around that make you feel like you are staying in a "home" not just four walls.”

“The Okra Inn was a great festival house for our group 7. Some of us ran up and down the stairs (all of the bedrooms were upstairs) and some of us climbed the stairs slowly . . . Every morning we gathered around the roomy island/bar to have fun cooking breakfast and COFFEE TOGETHER. These original NOLA houses have some stories to tell and the Okra Inn was intriguing in that way. It was colorful, clean, and comfortable, especially the rocking chairs on the front porch. “The Lanaux Suite upstairs is historic and classic. The age of the building of course causes issues. The heater blows cold air, the refrigerator freezes everything, the curtain in the toilet keeps falling, creepy sounds at night. The parking around the house on the street is good, but the owner kept scaring us to go park in a hotel which we did but was very inconvenient, expensive and not required, The Bed and "Breakfast" is literally just boxes of yogurt and juices in the fridge which were……

“Amazing location, and amazingly quiet rooms given the location's proximity to Frenchman St and myriad festivities. I assumed we were going to trade sleep quality for a prime location, but I was wrong! Very comfortable place, and the courtyard was great for our toddler to play. The owner was quick to respond and fix little things that came up during our 9-day stay. Would book again here in a heartbeat.”

She’s attentive, punctual, friendly, funny and totally on top of everything that’s going on in the area. I know that I will be staying there again on my next visit to New Orleans. ”

“8 of us stayed here for a long weekend. The 3 bedrooms were all nice and each of them was big enough for a couple. The loft above is spacious, but the steps to get to it are a bit steep and can be challenging for some. The location is convenient and close enough to enjoy the area, but far enough to get quiet sleep. Domingo and Natasha were great hosts and communicated consistently throughout our stay!”

“Dan was excellent and present to accommodate us on our arrival. He took the time to give us some useful tips around Mardi Gras. The house is great to accommodate eight couples (Private bathrooms in each room is a big plus) It was unfortunate on the cooler weather. Did not get the opportunity to enjoy the pool and outdoor bar which would be awesome in the summer months. The only one recommendation I would consider is a rental car. We mostly Ubered since the house is a 35 min walk to Bourbon and……

“I’ve never stayed in such an old house so I wasn’t expecting the toilets to be so sensitive and the water pressure to be pretty non existent. The shower water went off a few times while we were showering. But I’d recommend replacing the shower curtains. They weren’t that clean. The house was nice and the garden area was pretty. Loved having an off street parking spot. The house worked great for our friends and family!”

“Always have a great stay at this property. A little older property but well maintained and recently updated. On site steakhouse is excellent. Streetcar line steps from the door making getting around very easy. We do not use much of the on site amenities but location is awesome. Many other excellent restaurants nearby or a streetcar ride away. ”
