Fantastic design, cool amenities (kayak), amazing location (in front of the lake), healthy breakfast. Only complain would be that depending on the room, given the wood, it can be noisy if you have neighbors.

The room was cozy and clean with a fantastic view of the forest and lagoon. All the staff was very friendly and helpful as well. We enjoyed the breakfast hand delievered every morning and were very pleased with how tidy our room was after staff came in to clean. Overall it was a fantastic place and we would definitely stay here again!

My girlfriend and I had an excellent stay here. The rooms were very comfortable, and next to the lagoon. Views from the room and the property are amazing. The lagoon is a treasure, and didn't disappoint. The staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was amazing, and that we had everything we needed.

Great stay! Access to beautiful lagoon. Relaced vibe and friendly staff always willing to help. Location wasn't perfect and price could be better.

Paradise on the lake

Excellent in every way! If you're looking for a spot away from town this is it! You will need a car or bike to get into town or can get food delivered. The breakfast is amazing and filling and can get you through most of the day !

Loved it!

The room was perfectly located with a great view of the lagoon. It had a balcony where I enjoyed breakfast and coffee or a glass of wine at sunset. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff were super friendly, caring and flexible to requests. The docks next to the lagoon are magical places too.

Right at the lagoon and with a beautiful view. The staff was great! so kind and helpful even before my arrival. We loved the cabin and the cute breakfast basket. If wanting to go to the city center you (or the staff) can just call or text a taxi, it’s a 10 min drive.

Boa Boa was our favourite stay this vacation. All of the staff were so welcoming and helpful. The property is beautiful and all of the rooms were wonderful. We had the best sleep in the king sized beds! Having access to the water and some free kayaks really added such a bonus to our trip. I highly suggest getting up early to watch the sunrise and do a little paddle. There was lots of street parking for our car and the neighbourhood was very quiet. We look forward to our next day at Boa Boa and can’t wait to see what these amazing folks do next with their artistic talents.

We had a great stay. The staff are lovely and the rooms clean and spacious. Amazing views of the lake from our balcony. Free kayaks which was a lot of fun! The views from the deck was stunning also. Breakfast, Coffe and water were included, which we enjoyed. The hotel is about a 10 min drive or 35 min walk into Bacalar. There's lots of great bars and restaurants there! The only slight negative was the noise from the road at night but ear plugs worked well and we were in one of the rooms closer to the highway. Definitely recommend staying here, we loved it. Hopefully be back again.

We really enjoyed our stay at BoaBoa. Our room had a terrace overlooking the stunning lagoon, it was so nice chilling out there and also enjoying the breakfast that was delivered to the room every day. We took taxis in and out of town and they were reasonably priced (MXN 70 each way). It would have been great if the hotel had a small shop to buy snacks or drinks to make things a bit easier. The staff were friendly, but we didn't really see them beyond check-in as the reception is in a different area. Overall would highly recommend for a peaceful and relaxing stay

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Boa Boa Hotel in Bacalar, and it was a fantastic experience. The hotel's unique charm and excellent location made it an ideal choice for our trip. Her responsiveness and willingness to assist with anything we needed truly enhanced our experience. Boa boa is a beautiful property which is unique. The location is close to town but not really easily walkable due to the nature of the road which makes it a little inconvenient. Free kayaks were brilliant for sunrise. Breakfast is beautifully presented but unfortunately not to my partner's taste. Would have been better to provide an option on check in for what to deliver such as just additional toast/spreads instead of the oat and fruit bowl as it was ultimately wasted each morning. Room was comfortable, but very small, needed to unpack and repack bags on the deck. The WhatsApp communication was great and had we stayed longer we would have definitely chosen some of the activities on site. The boat trip organised through hotel was lovely.

Amazing staff and rooms.

Wow is all I can say. The beauty of this place surpassed my expectations. First Osmar who was the receptionist that day helped us immensely with everything we needed for our comfort. Clara, also a very sweet and helpful lady spoke great English helped us book extra nights and answered every question we had. Please, if you want a massage on the private dock on the lake with Emilio, do it, you won’t regret it. I am a massage therapist and I knew the moment he started the massage that he was very skilled, professional and talented at his profession. The dock on the lake is like heaven on Earth and the breakfast that comes delivered to your room every morning was super delicious and healthy. Also try Taco Loco around the corner for the best tacos in town. Very serene and lovely place to stay in Bacalar. The staff was the cream on top and you could text them for anything you needed and they will bring it to you room. I miss it there already and wish we had stayed more nights. They will also call you a taxi anytime you need one to get to town.
