“The room was Sparkling clean. Beds were comfortable and made up excellently! Refrigerator, Microwave, Coffee pot (coffee, cream, sugar provided) were all in good working order and very clean. The kitchenware, plates, cups, silverware were also very clean. There is No Maid Service at this motel. Not a problem. Manager provided his number and any fresh towels, linens, soap, shampoo, dish washing liquid, coffee required were delivered on the spot. Kind of unique, but the system was run smoothly.……

“The host was great and communicated very well with us ahead of time. The house really only sleeps 4 “comfortably” since air mattresses have to be used for any more than that. We knew that going in but the set up didn’t really work for two separate families. We failed to read the fine print and were thankful we had a cooler weekend as the house doesn’t have AC. “Stay was excellent. There were plenty of water and beach toys to keep the younger children entertained. The family enjoyed skipping rocks and painting them. The lake has a sandy floor and is about 3.5 feet deep for a very large, excellent swim and play area before getting deeper. All amenities (and more!) were on-hand and made the stay very enjoyable. The park nearby is worth checking out, and Port Austin is a charming small town with excellent ice cream options. Highly recommend this……

“Enjoyed a week-long stay at the farmhouse! The kids enjoyed the goats and checking for eggs from the chickens. Many peaceful spots on the property to read or put up a hammock and take a nap! “Nice relqxing stay on Lake Huron. Wonderul view. Can walk to the lighthouse and park next door. Cabin was small but met our needs. Hard to tell from the pics but the walls in the cabin dont go all the way to the ceiling so the only enclosed place is the bathroom. But owners were friendly and responded promptly to questions and gave good suggestions, especially activities for kids. Would recommend for a relaxing stay”
