“Property host Emad was very helpful and provided a great tour of Old Cairo with his good friend Ahmed to cap off a wonderful visit to New Cairo. Neighborhood dogs did make it difficult to sleep some nights, but the studio was large enough and well furnished.”

However, towards the end of my stay, I was bothered by the smell of sewage coming from the drain in the kitchenette. I was a little disappointed because it would have been great if they had been more careful in cleaning the invisible areas. I hope for improvement.”

Indeed, I left this property regarding the family as more than helpful owners but as good friends. One possible problem for first time visitors to Egypt might be the location. New Cairo would require taking a very reasonably priced Uber taxi to the major tourist areas of old Cairo or using a reputable tour company, as I did, to see the sights. And trust me, there is so much to see……
