“Staff was amazing”

“The property is certainly well located and is one of the three best located resorts on Harbor Island. However, the Pink Sands is tired and needs attention to deferred maintenance along with some wholesale capital improvements. The employees were helpful and attentive but they could use some training as to decorum and attention to details. Overall, the experience there was a disappointment because we were paying such a high price and frustrated by endless issues. Willing but shoddy service. ……

“The property is beautiful no doubt about that, with stunning views since it sits pretty high up ( maybe on one of the highest points) in a residential neighborhood. Therefore it is quite far away by foot from restaurants, shops, beach etc. It only makes sense if you have a rental car. We, unfortunately stayed in a room (Pearl)on the first floor that resembled more a cell than a hotel room with two twin!!!! beds, one chair with a small round table that was too small to put a computer up and……

“Hotel and grounds have definitely not been updated in a very long time. The pics are probably from when the hotel opened and are not accurate at this time. Found someone’s night cap behind the bedside table and small ants in the room. Staff was very nice and had an enjoyable time in the bar area. Excellent seafood quesadillas!”

“There was a door to adjoin rooms that had no insulation and I was woken up in the middle of the night and early morning to yelling and screaming by the people in the room next to me. When I told the front desk their only response was all the rooms where like that to call if I get woken up again. Also had no detergent to buy for laundry or coins. Had little idea of what time anything was actually open on their general area including food and convenience store. Walked twice to places they said……
