“Our family was in Cleveland last weekend for our son's graduation. As expected, almost all hotels were already booked. However, we preferred to stay in a home with a kitchen to cater to our restricted diets. Kristen's Carriage House was the perfect choice since it was close to CWRU and also to our son's apartment. “This lake front cottage was beautiful, very clean and freshly painted. We enjoyed watching the waves and boats on Lake Erie, and wonderful sunsets. Jenna, the owner, was exceptionally hospitable and welcoming. The cottage is located in a quieter region of the Cleveland metro area, within a short drive of attractions like downtown Cleveland, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Cleveland Art and Natural History Museums and the Cleveland Botanical Gardens. “Cottage is very clean with one exception, the exhaust fan in the bathroom could use a little attention. I was excited because it was described as a "Lakeside cottage", but the outside really needs some TLC. Nice if you are the indoor type, but not much outside appeal.”

“The house and the furnishings were beautiful, as was the historic area. There was a dead duck out by the pond and when the hosts were alerted, they apologized, but it wasn’t taken care of. We were bummed there was a three-day minimum stay, because we could only be there two nights, but we were aware of that at time of booking.”

“The place was as shown in the listing. But the bedroom layout was such that there were no side tables or small lamps. Made it hard to read or have a place for your glasses or phone. We were not able to log in to WiFi as the provided password did not work for us. There were two TVs but you needed to bring your own streaming sign in and passwords to watch anything.”

“My 82 year old mom and I stayed here while in town visiting my daughter in Mentor. It was very clean and recently had modern updates. The walkin shower was easy for mom to use. The snacks and drinks that were stocked were an added touch. The back deck was nice but I did not have the time to enjoy the backyard. “Nice cottage was very convenient for our stay. Easy parking, nice little yard. Stocked kitchen and clean. ”

“Good location for us, golf and grocery store nearby. Fan in bedroom needs to be replaced. It was too noisy to use at night. Would have been nice to have patio furniture cleaned as it was dirty enough we couldn't really use it. Main con was there are no curtains on the windows in the living and kitchen areas so people staying in the main house can easily see into the cottage at night. The bedroom had shutters so was private.”

“We arranged a 2 night stay for me and spouse. Friends joined us to view the eclipse. Jose our host greeted us on arrival and gave us a brief tour. The property was spotless and well appointed. There was ample parking and amenities. I would love to revisit. Did I mention the view and sunset Spectacular”
