“Very good all round,staff were friendly. We stay there every couple of years on the way to Scotland.”

“This is a cute place to stay but a bit dated. It is dog friendly and it was lovely to see so many furry friends enjoying a trip! We stayed in a building round the back which had some quirky wallpaper but needed an upgrade. Interesting rules around breakfast which were explained in terrifying detail by staff who had been well briefed - "You have 30 minutes from when you enter until you must leave, and you can have one hot drink refill". That was a bit much, but we complied!”

“Room 1 is extremely small, but was spotless and the bed extremely comfortable. There were too few staff. Service at dinner and the bar was very slow. Dinner wasn't as hot as it should have been. There was too much food on a small plate, I had to hunt under the chicken for my vegetables! Overall, it's quite expensive for food that although was delicious it wasn't hot and not served in a timely manner.”

“Solo traveller - peaceful night in a very comfortable bed and spacious room. Cleanliness up to speck with crisp white bedding and fluffy towels. Wonderful breakfast with tasty locally sourced bacon. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve chosen the Derby Arms for a stay over now, for a fussy traveller it fits the bill beautifully! Central location for Longridge/Ribble Valley.”

“The bed was comfortable and in room amenities were good as well with a clean room The lack of air conditioning made it uncomfortable in the summer with the room situated next to a car park on ground floor with reduced privacy given windows had to be open The carpets do show their age I feel our stay was ok outwith all of this and it’s location ideal as short drive to motorway”
