    Welcome to this holiday home in beautiful surroundings with a fantastic view of the Sognefjord. Here you have the opportunity to get away from it all and enjoy the unique landscape of the region. The interior of the house is simply and cosily furnished and offers enough space for a family with a child or a small group of friends. Make yourself comfortable in the living room and enjoy the view through the large windows. The functional furniture creates a cosy atmosphere.



    Outside you will find a spacious terrace where you can relax and admire the marvellous landscape. Enjoy the fresh air and watch the boats gliding slowly across the fjord. The green surroundings are perfect for walks and exploring. Take advantage of the nearby hiking trails and discover the nature around the holiday home.



    Explore the impressive natural landscape around the fjord. Visit the village of Vangsnes, where you can admire the imposing Fridtjov statue, which was once donated by Kaiser Wilhelm II. Another highlight is the famous Nærøyfjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take a trip on the Flåm Railway, one of the most beautiful railway lines in the world, or drive through the impressive Lærdal Tunnel, the longest road tunnel in the world.

Prachtig gelegen vakantie woning net buiten Balestrand,wat opzich prachtig gelegen ligt aan het Sognefjord. Hele mooie auto tochten gemaakt door het fjorden gebied. Zeer de moeite waard om vanuit hier de Noorse fjorden te ontdekken.Huis heeft een schitterend uitzicht over het fjord. Je ziet de cruiseschepen zachtjes voorbij varen die van uit Flamm weer naar zee varen.

The host, Ragnar, was incredible. He walked me through the property and showed me how use the TV remote and washing machine. Some things are different in Norway-I’m from the U.S. He explained fun things to do in the area and suggested to take my time on some Norwegian roads, expressing concern for safety. The location was perfect, close enough, 3.5 miles to Balestrand, yet quiet and private with an amazing view out the living room and kitchen. Washing machine worked great and I was able to keep my clothes clean. The kitchen had everything I needed, so I had the choice to eat in or out. Balestrand is such a beautiful area and I highly recommend this property to anyone vacationing in Balestrand.Bill Wesela from Michigan USA

Absolutely loved it!

Absolutely perfect little home to just get away and enjoy the sights of Norway! Was originally supposed to be just me but I ended up making some friends at the hostel I stayed at in Oslo so they tagged along on the drive with me. Totally forgot to change the reservation on the way there but Ragnar was more than welcoming when we arrived!! When we got there he gave me the run down of things in great detail which was very helpful and even had a little gift for us! I wish I could keep this little gem hidden but I want everyone to be able to stay here and enjoy it just as I did!! 100 out of 10 recommend staying here!!

Superlocatie met ontzettend mooi uitzicht.

Alleen al voor het uitzicht op het Sognefjord is deze locatie geweldig. Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien. Supervriendelijke ontvangst.

quietness and fabulous view all around

Very good experience . Sight from the house as breathtaking as on the photograph , property comfortable enough to get through wet periods , generous welcome gift from the owner , plenty of available sherries in the garden .. the cons would regard teenagers' activities : no tennis court , few biking trails ( vs plenty of hiking ) , no wifi ..but all in all a good experience for him too!
