“All good service, check-in & check-out was easy. Really disappointed to choose this hotel for the indoor pool (assuming it was still heated, as it was when stayed here before) and find that it was very cold. The manger said management had just changed and it should be fixed/heated by next year.”

Friendly, safe and clean rooms are the most important to me. One downfall was shower head way to low and no ability to move it to direct spray. ”

“My room was extremely clean and well-appointed with a larger than average mini-fridge, clean microwave, newer coffee pot and a newer model large flatscreen t.v. conveniently mounted across from the bed. Speaking of the bed! It was a very comfy pillow top queen set with crisp clean sheets and a HUGE oversized warm. The water pressure was amazing and stayed hot as long as I showered. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip through Asheville! ”

“I'm not sure quite what to say about this motor lodge. The moment I drove across the bridge onto the property, I knew I was in for a treat. I have spent many nights out on the road, and I've stayed in some of the finest hotels in the United States. Never have I had such a pleasant experience as at the Heart of the Valley. The owner is just a delightful person. And Bela, the Lab/Sheppard mix, is such a sweet and adorable girl! I brought a bag of treats with me because I had heard about……

“The manager was very helpful. The only thing I didn't like was the water. Very rusty. I made coffee with it not realizing how bad it was. Yuck.”

“This property is a bird sanctuary! It was so peaceful and a perfect getaway. The cabin with hot tub was comfortable. We enjoyed reading on the front porch, cooking out on the grill, fire pit under the stars at night and most of all the sounds of birds chirping during sunrise. The staff was exceptionally friendly. We look forward to our next getaway to Asheville River Cabins! ”
