"We can't say enough great things about this sweet little house in Banner Elk. Everything about this house was easy. It was in the perfect location, not far from downtown Banner Elk, but still felt peaceful and serene. The house was immaculate and provided a very comfortable stay for a short weekend getaway. "This place has a pretty view if your room is on the front side. There is no air in this facility which was not stated up front. It wasn't that hot when we were there so it was fine. There are fans in the closet. Beds weren't that comfortable and there was no coffee on Sunday. Overall our stay was good but this facility could certainly use some updating."

"The photos on the Expedia are cherrypicked and quite deceptive. From the exterior, the building looks way worse than the photos reveal. Inside, the finishings and decor are quite dated, though the hallways to access the rooms and the rooms themselves are surprisingly clean. The entrances and stairwells aren't the cleanest. The building is old and settling. Hallway floorboards creak and lean this way and that. When you look up at the top of stairways, you can see the next level leaning this way or that. For now it's a decent, and cheaper place to stay, but without major renovation and repairs, it will get shutdown for safety reasons."

"Beautiful cabin with just a few minor hiccups!We had a wonderful stay at this very nice cabin! The location was fantastic, and the check-in process was incredibly smooth. One of the highlights of our trip was getting to sit outside and relax in the hot tub.The only reasons I rated it a 4 instead of a 5 were a few minor maintenance and supply issues. There was no extra toilet paper provided, so we actually had to drive into town one evening just to buy some. Additionally, the ceiling fan in the bunk bed room wasn’t working, and the fireplace has a broken on/off switch (we also had to completely remove the front cover to manually turn it from the pilot light to "on").Overall, it’s a great property, and with just a little attention to these small details, it would easily be a 5-star stay!"

"The house is cozy and the view is amazing. We enjoyed the time there. The few things that were not great are the bedding accommodations which are not great. The beds are not very comfortable. The biggest negative is mostly from the property management company. The house was clean but there were spider webs in almost every corner, the bathtub downstairs was clogged, the hot top was hot but the jets didn't work properly. The worst part was trying to communicate with the property management company to let them know without success. Also, we tried requesting a little later check out but again we never got a response except for send another message to another number. Overall, pretty good place, the kitchen was equipped nicely, the house is cozy and the decks are the best value."
