"The room was spotless! The hotel staff were so kind and gracious every day. The young lady at the front desk, Andine, made us feel at home immediately. The view from the balcony was lovely. We were there from Sunday, December 21-Saturday December 27th. The hotel has a casino next door on the ground floor while the hotel rooms are on the 4th floor. The casino noises never bothered us and could not be heard on the 4th floor. The Ramada across the street was extremely noisy on our last night there (Friday) but that’s to be expected on a weekend I guess. I doubt we will go back to Belize because we are getting older and have so many other countries to visit! It was the trip of a lifetime for us and we would recommend the Pickwick Parkview Hotel mostly because of the fantastic staff, Andine and the wonderful (I think her name was Claudette) housekeeper. Spotless. The floors looked like glass! "
"The hotel staff were helpful and frequent communicators. They helped arrange transportation from BZE (and were still waiting for us when our flight arrived 3 hours late!). Gated property is modern in finishes and appears brand new. AC was cranking and beds were comfortable. The fridge is stocked with beverages for purchase and snacks were available too. Free bottled water and a locally made loaf of coconut bread were extra nice touches! We are only here 1 night, but would come back for sure ! "
"We loved our stay. It was a little noisy with the contribution, but not unbearable at all. Every staff member we came in contact with were very pleasant and helpful. We would definitely stay there again "
"We were not sure what to expect when we booked this small island vacation but decided to try it and keep our expectations to a minimum. We just returned after staying at Shaka Caye for the last week. 12/11/25-12/18/25. We were blown away by the food, the accommodating staff, the island beauty, the tasty drinks, and the easy of walking around the island. Our room was beautifully decorated and comfortable, the AC was cold, the bathrooms were well appointed with hot showers, hair dryers and a straightener. The twice daily housekeeping spoiled us. The mini refrigerator was in perfect repair and well stocked daily with sodas, water, and snacks. Our room had 2 robes for use during our stay. We truly enjoyed having access to the double kayaks and the paddle boards which were in good repair. Shaka Caye ‘s staff want to meet every expectation. I fell in love with the fryjacks that the chef prepared for us daily and I made mention of how I would love to learn to make them. The next thing I knew I had an invitation for a fryjacks lesson. We went on a private snorkeling tour with Edwin and he made every effort to show us interesting fish and inform us about the reef. It was such a privilage to have been spoiled by such wonderful people. Percy, Michael, Roddy, and Obey all helped make our stay special. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing getaway and you are comfortable relaxing, swimming, fishing, and enjoying fresh food this place is such a great find."
