“What a great place for our maiden voyage to the Outer Banks! The house was so spacious, bedrooms, and bathrooms for everyone and then some. We did a lot of cooking because my daughter has a food allergy, kitchen was easy to work in and well appointed. The house is just a two minute walk to a great beach, but the pool was the big hit for the kids. We don’t have a pool when my kids are water babies, so that was pretty incredible. Pool was well appointed to with multiple Floaties and toys. And so……

“This is a great property! Everything was as stated/pictured. The house is bigger than the photos make it look. The kitchen was very well stocked and made it easy to make meals for our group. You can walk to the beach, but the golf cart was a huge bonus. You can also walk into town.The pool, yard and hot tub were also very nice. The host was quick to respond to any questions. I would be happy to rent here again. ”

“We loved our stay here. The home was beautiful, well maintained, and very clean. Check in/out was easy. The surrounding property is lush and private. Very family and dog friendly. 4x4 is of course a must, as it’s a hike from the pavement down the beach. Grocery/food options are nonexistent nearby but the seclusion is what makes this area special.”

“If you like a remote beach experience, this property is a great option. We set up on the beach, stayed all day, and regularly saw the wild horses on the dunes. The house was clean, comfortable, and we all slept well each night. We also enjoyed the hot tub!”

“We loved the cottage, so close to the beach and easy to make multiple trips. One day we went 3x, at sunrise, after lunch and at sunset. The sunrise walk was spectacular, mid day we put our beach chairs in the water and after the heat of the day the wild horses come out. Experiencing driving my truck on the 4x4 beach for this 70yr old woman is something I will always remember. Bring plenty of bottled water for drinking, as the sulfur odor/color is fine for bathing and cooking/making coffee, but I……

“I visited the Outer Banks with my daughters and honestly the stay was amazing, the views, house, location this place had it all. ”

“We booked The Salty Seahorse as a celebration for my youngest son graduating from high school. In all, there were 8 of use plus two dogs. The house worked well for us because my son and his friends had the entire lower level to spread out and enjoy. We didn’t use the hot tub as the weather was warm but the pool was refreshing. The wild horses visited us several time along with other wildlife such as blue heron and turtles. There were some housekeeping issues but Andrew was quick to respond and……

“A wonderful time had by all 7 of us. The house is huge and has amazing views. She is an older home so be patient, but so very worth it. Beach access is simple and close. Safe and quiet road. Super great and easy walk into Duck! We will be back!”
