Very reasonably priced hotel between Winchester and Basingstoke. Rural location on the main road with a large free car park. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful throughout my stay. The room was a good size, clean and comfortable. The hotel is attached to a good sized pub with garden that has a good range of drinks and an extensive menu. The breakfast was excellent and the staff very attentive and eager to fulfill any request. A nice, very reasonably priced hotel I will certainly use again.

This was a lovely old property. The staff were welcoming, and friendly. The room was a little tired, but had everything I needed for my stay. The shower was over the bath, not a problem for me, but could be for someone else. The bath had bits of fluff in, so not the cleanest, on the whole though, the room, and amenities were clean. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The restaurant is in the pub/bar, such a beautiful old place, with lots of characteristics, a pleasant atmosphere. There was plenty of parking too. I would definitely look at staying at this lovely place when I next visit.

The room was fine. It was a little noisy in the early evening, as it overlooked the garden, but it was perfectly quiet later on. The bed was very comfortable. Staff were all very helpful and pleasant, but it felt that they were somehow lacking in leadership.

Nice welcome, even though very late arrival. Room spacious, comfortable and had a great sleep but decor could do with a refresh, especially in en-suite ( which was nice and big, with bath). Breakfast: great value. Donna very helpful, professional and friendly. Lovely stay. Would definitely stay again when travelling on this route. Big Sainsbury's nearby, with petrol station. Hotel only just over ½ an hour from ferry terminal.

Checked in late, staff we very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the room I got was not only next to reception (with people coming in and out making a far amount of noise) but also was in the front of the hotel (which is on a very busy road with a far amount of trucks passing). If you are okay with noise it’s a good stay unfortunately I am not and did not get much sleep

Very good two night stay. Room was spacious and clean. So was bathroom. Good quality coffee, tea, biscuits and toiletries. Big, comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were also very friendly and efficient. The outside of the pub needs a bit of smartening up but there is a large free car park and the interior of the pub is welcoming and comfortable. We would stay here again when we visit Basingstoke. It was very good value.

Useful location but very close to the A30. Nice hotel/former coaching Inn with friendly welcome. Plenty of parking. Good breakfast. The good size double room had a kettle with coffee bags, fan, hairdryer, iron and ironing board plus large TV. The mattress was a bit too firm for our comfort though.

An awful hotel, that in my opinion was hazourdous to health. Room smelt of damp, tiles falling off bathroom wall, mould on window cills, dirt on skirting board, bathroom light, tv both not working, veneer peeling off furniture.

Beds fine but had to chase down staff to check in or get drinks (food not longer being available on a Friday evening). By a road so some road noise. Shower worked eventually but hard to control temperature. Bathroom cleaned but mildew stained and ventilation not good. Breakfast fine and serving staff attentive. Convenient location and parking for our travels onward.
