Nothing failed to transport us to Middle Earth: the architecture, furniture, the curtains, the dishes, the fixtures. Every little decoration tickled me, from the books, to the games, to the light switch plates, to the figurines. Amazing! We watched the LOTR trilogy, cooked some hobbity meals, and dressed up in costumes the host has available for pictures. This trip was one of the coolest things we’ve ever done. "

"A great apartment right on main street in Nauvoo. It wasn’t a problem and I didn’t think to contact the host, but we couldn’t figure out how to get the heater to work in the living/kitchen area but we were fine with the heat in the bedrooms. All went well! Thanks for a great place to stay!"

"We were four mid-seventies women. We requested 4 beds. In the pictures, it appeared that there was a queen size bed and 3 single beds. The one bed was a junior bed. There was a blow-up bed that had to be brought downstairs. It was a lovely old house, but not really age appropriate for us. There were throw rugs throughout the house, which was a tripping hazard. We found it difficult to find outlets to charge our phones, tablets and watches and the coffee pot. The notes were very helpful. We were a little concerned when it mentioned rodents. Luckily, we didn't see any. Overall, it was a charming house and we appreciated the antiques. "
