We enjoyed our stay here. The place is lovely and very well located, wa;lking distance to everything in Bayeaux. If there were one complaint, it would be that we booked and paid in full for our entire stay 8 months in advance and one week before arrival, they notified us that we couldn't stay there our last night due to overbooking, despite the fact that we paid in full 8 months in advance. They were kind enough to leave a bottle of Champagne and some biscuits to help with the fact that we had to leave a day early. But that turned out to be great too, because then we went to Deauviolle and stayed at Le Barriere Normandy, and I highly recommend staying in not one, but two spots in Normandy. Both of our daughters decide they are going to honeymoon there! All in all, a good trip

PERFECT location

Stayed just a few days. Location was absolutely perfect for Bayeux area. Waking distance to everything in city and easyb pickup or walk for tours. Awesome place for friends. BEWARE the stairs. No joke if you've got older folks or heavy large bags. Loved it!

80th Anniversary of D-Day

We were excited to be granted access to the Normandy American Cemetery on June 6th. Unfortunately with Biden and all other dignitaries in the area many streets were closed by the french military so they were always stopping us from getting to our rental in Bayeux

Our family stayed here for two nights in mid-August, two adults and two teens. We LOVED our stay here. The location is amazing as it is steps to the cathedral and main part of the town. Waking up to the sound of church bells was so special. The home was immaculately clean and the teens loved the pool table. We took a historic walking tour and the house was on the tour! Free parking was available a very short walk away for our rental car. We only wish we could have stayed longer. The stairs might be tricky for elderly people but we loved the history and character they provided. Although this listing says there is no laundry on site there is a small washer in the entrance area that we were grateful to use. The wifi signal is slower and doesn’t travel upstairs but it was a good excuse to stay off our devices before bed. We had our own soap and shampoo but bottles of shampoo etc would be helpful in the shower if travellers don’t have them. There were bikes available which would have been wonderful to use but we didn’t have time. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Great place to see Normandy

Our family of 5 w 2 college age daughters and my very young 90 year old father in law loved this place. There is some precarious stairs but he did fine. The furnishings were great! After we arrived, we opened the windows and the whole place cooled down and was very comfortable. It’s so close to great restaurants and shipping. This was a great start to our self guided tour of Normandy D Day sites. We had no issues at all.

Comfy stay in a historic home.

Right in my he heart of Bayeux and all the shopping and dining you could want. Walking distance to the train station. Perfect home base to explore Normandy. This is a home with real history but with modern comfort. Beds were comfy, kitchen well equipped. The original stone spiral stairs are amazing but not for anyone with physical limits as they are tight and steep. There is no first floor bed or bath do you will need to climb them. There is a charming suite on the main floor with a bed and bath them up to the third floor two rooms one a suite with bath and one just a room. All have very nice beds. If anyone in your party is real tall they will have to watch their head up there. We loved the home and think you will too.

Wow! Just wow! This property was exceptional and we enjoyed every minute of our visit. We travelled to Bayeux with our three teenagers to visit the Normandy beaches for D-Day and what a welcome respite after a day of touring. This 15th century home was recently renovated and every detail was perfect. Our kids especially loved playing pool tournaments each evening. Romain was a perfect host and was very responsive to all my questions. He also recommended and booked restaurant reservations for us during our stay. The location is just steps away from the Cathedral and all restaurants and shops are very walkable. It was fun to have walking tours stop in front of our door and look up at this historical location. Free parking lot was also a few blocks away. Highly, highly recommend.

Amazing 5 star location

What an amazing experience to stay in a home from the 1400s. It is an entirely unique experience within walking distance to everything in Bayeux and a quick drive to World War II memorials. We had the best time and will forever remember our stay.

Apartment in Bayeaux

We all enjoyed our stay in this convenient apartment in Bayeaux. We only wish we were there longer! It is well represented in the listing and worked perfectly for our family of 4. As stated in listing, this location is not appropriate for older people or the very young or mobility issues but our teens loved the apartment and town- it was a unique experience!
