Bayfield Fruit Loop Retreat - Main Cottage

Welcome to the Fruit Loop Retreat, featuring a beautiful "Main Cottage" nestled in 7 acres of woods in Bayfield, Wisconsin. The property allows you to savor a peaceful and quiet northwoods experience but still minutes from several attractions and historic downtown Bayfield.

The property is conveniently located just 5 minutes' drive or 2.5 miles from the center of downtown Bayfield. Located right on county Hwy J, a starting point for a self-guided tour around the city of Bayfield where an exploration of several family apple orchards, fruit farms, and wineries, as well as the origin of our name.

Enjoy exploring Northern Wisconsin Lake Superior South Shore with various hiking trails throughout the year, mountain biking in the summer snowshoe or fat bikes/cross country skiing in the winter, public beaches and state parks take in the beautiful scenery and just minutes away. Take the Bayfield Ferry to Madeline Island, see the Apostle Islands sea caves through kayaking or guided site seeing cruises (seasonal) there is so much to explore!

Our one of a kind Main Cottage features 2 huge panoramic windows & cozy propane fireplace in the living room viewing the backwoods as well as a 1k sq ft unique wrap around deck and outdoor dining/lounge couch with propane fireplace. Perfect to relax and unwind after a day exploring Bayfield (outdoor features are seasonal Mid April-October) Starlink fast internet w/Netflix, fully stocked kitchen, complimentary bathroom toiletries.

+ Winter season (Nov-April) we highly suggest a awd/4wd vehicle due to the snow packed /incline of the driveway

**Please note that there is another cottage on the property 100' away across the driveway. Front door & one window faces the other cottage w/a shade used for privacy.***

This property has 2 security cameras to ensure the safety of the guests, neighbors, and the home. + One on the shed overlooking the driveway + One In the garage overlooking the supplies shelf (guests are not allowed in the garage)

Charming Bayfield Cabin

We stayed here as a base camp to explore the ice caves and hiked to Houghton Falls. The cabin was very clean; the kitchen had more than we needed. We very much enjoyed the fireplace during this cold winter week. The setting is beautiful. We will return again this summer to explore the Apostle Islands.Thank you, Chris and Jenny

Great location to relax

We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this home. It's in a great location outside town but only a 5 minute drive into Bayfield. The home is clean and cozy, with a wonderful deck to relax and has everything you need in the well stocked kitchen. We will definetly be back and are already looking forward to next year.

What a great getaway

This property is spectacular and is now one of our favorites. Everything about the cabin is welcoming and relaxing. When we first arrived, we stopped and listened to the quiet nature sounds that enveloped this location. And the sizable deck allowed us to spend plenty of time outside without feeling confined. Inside, the amenities were complete, as everyone can see from the listing. Everything was there without feeling cramped or packed in. Even the decorations were on point. The cabin had plenty of charm without it being 'too much'. The best part was that we felt the hosts thought about everything. Plenty of towels, high thread count sheets, Roku TV with Netflix, fireplace, heat, air conditioning, a grill with handy utensils, coffee and filters, plenty of dishes & cooking wares... it was all there. This was our first visit to Bayfield and we will definitely be back. Thank you!!

Forest retreat

Chris and Jenny were amazing hosts! Not only was their cabin exactly as described, but was extremely clean and organized. It is well positioned between Bayfield, Cornucopia and the fruit farms - allowing for full, fun-filled days no matter what your fancy. The back deck was a wonderful bookend for our days with our morning coffee listening to the birds and late night glass of wine by the fire. We highly recommend this stay! Oh! AND they left a scrumptious little jar of local jam as a thank you. ❤️ 10/10

Amazing Northwoods Getaway

Wow! We opened the front door and were quite pleased. Chris & Jenny have done an impressive job of making this cabin the complete “home away from home”. Nicest VRBO we’ve ever stayed at, and we’ve stayed at many that were lovely. Kitchen is stocked. Even had every thing I needed to make homemade flour tortillas. Highly recommend this treasure of a cabin.
