Gorgeous sunset/sunrise

The unit has small rooms but the stay was great. We enjoyed being outside in the beautiful weather. It was a great location since we wereworking in Bayfield. Thank you.

Beautiful views of the lake and mountains

Right on the water with 2 decks with amazing views. Cabin was quaint and comfortable. Rafting and scenic train ride within 30 minutes. The property management company was easy to get ahold of and quick to respond.

Relaxing Cabin by the Lake

House incomlete

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful house and location. Directions need some work. Several finishing touches were two cabinet doors in kitchen didn't open and toilet was plumbed with hot water. Text discusses washer which is locked up downstairs. Would stay again

Incredible Lakeside Cabin

This waterfront cabin is charming, with amazing views of Lake Vallecito and loads of relaxing porches. That said, the stairs inside the cabin are not easily climbed, that first step is a doozy without a solid bar to hang onto. All but one of the beds are located upstairs, but both bathrooms are downstairs, so not very convenient. Over all, the cabin was peaceful and just right for two of us - we had a lovely anniversary trip.

Lovely stay on the lake

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time at this cabin! Its about 30-40 minutes to most things in Durango. The lake is beautiful. All bedrooms have a great view of the lake. Both bathrooms are downstairs. The home has a double kayak with one paddle when we stayed there. We brought our own life jackets. We hiked around some of the trails near the lake and it was so beautiful. The cabin was well stocked except there were no coffee filters. Would definitely come back to this cabin and this lake.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home is comfortable and the view is beautiful. We washed all dishes before using them as they all appeared less than clean. We had a difficult time playing family games as the lighting was poor. If these 2 things were corrected it would be a great property. It was peaceful and had everything we needed.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The view was great the bathrooms were clean everything else was a huge disappointment. Heat was on continuously with no adjustment. Extension cords operated most of the lighting and box fans for cooling. One of the fans did not work and one of the cords had bare wires. Not used to having to do a safety walk through and fix issues before occupying a $350 per night rental cabin. Outdoor grille was missing the grate and looked unsafe to operate overall. Multiple stains in the carpet and cobwebs throughout. The host reached out to make sure everything was to expectation. The issues were not simple missteps they were a result of a failure to provide the quality represented in the ad and description of the property.

Cozy cabin on the lake

The cabin is very cozy although the sleeping arrangement was a bit awkward. The bed downstairs (master bedroom?) has a double bed up against the wall so not ideal for a couple - one person would be up against the wall and have to crawl over the other person to use the bathroom. We opted to use the queen bed upstairs but there is no bathroom up there so we had to manage the stairs during the night to use the bathroom. The “master” downstairs has broken blinds on the window that looks directly into the neighbors house. The blinds don’t come down so I found an extra sheet in the closet upstairs to drape over the window for privacy. I am allergic/sensitive to scented soaps and itched for hours. I finally had to go downstairs and get fully dressed (including socks) in order to sleep. I travel a lot all over the world and almost all places use scent free laundry detergent but every once in a while I run into this problem. There was plenty of coffee but no filters. The property manager said that they weren’t provided but for that pricepoint they really should be. And why coffee but no filters? Strange! The property manager contacted me 10 times in two days which was over the top. They said to contact them if there was anything that could make our stay perfect and yet the one thing we wanted (coffee filters) was not provided and the local store was closed. So that suggestion was not helpful at all! And too many check out time reminders!

Just as described

A rustic cabin with just enough space to spread out comfortably. The views and sounds of the lake are spectacular. Will definitely stay again.

Beautiful but needs a little work

The biggest concern was the leaking kitchen sink. There is a note stating do not use the disposal, but that's not the real issue. The drain pipe is not connected to the disposal so using the left side of the sink will result in major flooding. Also, simply using the right side results in water/soap overflowing the drain pipes and flooding the cabinet. Also, the hot/cold water supplies are reserved in the bathroom just off the kitchen. There is also a flickering light in the kitchen which appears to be poorly wired and a potential fire hazard. Overall we loved our stay but these issues should be addressed for the safety of future guests.

Beautiful views of the lake

We could see the lake from the deck as well as our beds. I watched the full moon over the lake while in bed and it was breath taking.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed the beautiful views of the water, the quiet, the birds, and the deck and patio to sit outside. The downstairs bedroom is very convenient with its own bathroom. Views were awesome. Upstairs bedrooms also had beautiful views. No bathroom upstairs so did require the use of the downstairs bathroom which entailed going up and down the stairs. Kitchen was well stocked. Grilled steaks on the propane grill. We enjoyed our stay.
