Nolin LAKEFRONT Cabin @ Mammoth Cave

Our rustic cozy cabin is located at the end of a cul-de-sac overlooking a wide bend in Nolin Lake. The charming wrap around covered porch provides plenty of room for outside activities come rain or shine and the views from the back porch and yard are spectacular, especially at sunset .

An outside nook table and chairs provide a perfect place to enjoy your early morning coffee. The porch swing is a favorite place to unwind as you relive the day’s activities.

There is plenty of on-site parking including room for your boat and trailer. Enjoy an easy walk down to the lake and bring your fishing pole or a swimsuit.

We are located just around a bend in the lake from Moutardier Marina and 11 miles from Nolin State Park which has a 9 mile walking trail. We are only 10 miles from Mammoth Cave National Park’s numerous hiking trails and Minutes from Horse Back Riding stables.

The cabin has one bed on the first floor which opens to a large room for friends or family to gather in. A wooden log stairway takes you up to the loft which has 3 queen size beds in seperate cubbies and a recreational area.

The bathroom is attached to the firstfloor bedroom and has a large walk-in shower along with a toilet and sink.

The kitchen includes a stove, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher. There are ample cookingware , dishware and utensils and other appliances include a toaster, keurig/drip coffee maker and crockpot.

Outside amenities include a gas grill and a firepit for magic nighttime lakeside tales and of course, s’mores !

Keep in mind this cabin is located in a wooded area and you may see wildlife in the yard. We use a professional pest control company regularly but the occasional insect may make an appearance.
Please be advised Nolin Lake is owned by US Corp of Engineers and is used for flood control. The water levels can vary based on flood control needs for areas down stream from the lake. The water levels can be checked at US Army Corps of Engineers - Nolin River Lake website.

Very beautiful surroundings; peaceful. Home was spacious; beds were comfy with high end linens and pillows. Updated furnishings. Full equipped kitchen and bath. Washer/dryer. S’more and coffee station. Fire pit with fresh firewood.

Brent was a great host and very responsive to all of our questions! The cabin was an awesome place for our family to unplug and relax! Mammoth Cave Getaway

We made a quick trip up here to visit the Mammoth Caves. It’s about a 35-40 minute drive to the caves from this property. The property/cabin was beautifully decorated and had a newly renovated look to it. It was very clean and communications with the owner was easy and prompt. I’d definitely recommend it to others looking to visit this area.

Secluded lake retreat

We had a wonderful stay with our 6 kids and dog when we came to visit Mammoth Cave.We were unfortunately there during a heat wave and didn’t get to spend nearly as much time outside on the awesome wrap around porch. But the air conditioning was a welcome retreat during the 90 degree days and kept the cabin nice and cool. With 8 people in the house, the continuous water heater was also a godsend, we never had to worry about running out of hot water after multiple showers!We would definitely return, though hopefully when it is a little cooler so we could spend more time relaxing outside.

Amazing cabin with spectacular views of Lake Nolin

The cabin was by far the cleanest rental we have stayed in! Very quiet with plenty of nature sounds. The beds were comfortable and the cabin had a very pleasant smell that put you at easy. The shower was SPECTACULAR, it was a large walk in shower with plenty of room to shave your legs. The host was so sweet to provide a complementary smores kit. Over all I would absolutely be returning!

Guys fishing trip

4 of us stayed at the cabin for a fishing trip. It was perfect for fishing as we could dock the boat at the private dock so we didn’t have to load and unload every time. The cabin had plenty of room and was fully stocked with all cooking utensils. Great place to stay.

Communication prior to arrival was awesome. Texted and answered questions regarding local attractions. Stocked firewood a huge plus! Cabin was cozy and perfect for our group. We loved the views of the lake and waking down to the lake. Amenities were perfect for us considering we cooked meals everyday. Was concerned about only one bathroom but it worked out well for our group of 6. Our dog loved the property too. Perfect space for her kennel. Entertainment was perfect for a rainy movie night evening.

Worth the Trip

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished we would have booked at least one more day. Our primary purpose for the trip was Mammoth Caves National Park, but there were so many others places we wanted to check out once there (if you are not sure on extra time, I would book the extra day). In addition, our favorite parts while at the cabin was enjoying time on the full covered and wrap around porch and evening fires at the fire pit. The elevated view of Nolan Lake was great while enjoying the porch and evening fires. I am sure the lake would be a great time in the summer or if we would have had room for fishing gear. Overall, this cabin won't disappoint!

Fantastic Stay!

We truly loved our stay! My wife and I are REALLY into our National Parks and we cherish our time to visit these gems. This rental was the perfect place to lodge when visiting Mammoth Cave (also conveniently close to Nolin Lake State Park). Morning coffee on the deck facing the lake, a walk down to the dock, stargazing, s'mores by the firepit, and (my favorite) wandering around the beautiful grounds with our sweet old basset hound. These are memories that I have from this weekend, and an easy/well run rental property helped make it possible. Our

The perfect Kentucky getaway!

I could not speak more highly of this property and its owners. Their communication was always prompt and very responsive. The property was even better than the pictures!
