LIVING SPACES

The Chalet Getaway is perfect for families, with 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths, and two separate living rooms. We also provide plenty of entertainment options to keep everyone happy and busy! Here, you’ll find Gigabyte speed WiFi, TVs with Amazon Prime Video, Chromecast, Disney+, Netflix, and YouTube TV, as well as a great selection of board games.

Picture the scene: it’s late afternoon at the Chalet Getaway. You’ve just returned from a day on the slopes of Shanty Creek, boating on Torch Lake, hiking at the Grass River Natural Area, or hitting the links at one of the 10+ area golf courses.

Now, it’s time to relax, pour yourself a drink, and nibble on a snack as you wind down from the day. That’s easy to do in our two spacious, yet cozy, living rooms. Upstairs, you’ll definitely want to cozy up on one of the two plush sofas or two armchairs, all in soothing neutral colors. The gas fireplace lends a homey, rustic ambiance. One of the most popular attractions in this room, however, is the 55" HDTV with Amazon Prime Video, Chromecast, Disney+, Netflix, and YouTube TV. Sounds like a big bowl of popcorn made in a stainless steel pot may be in order!

Down the spiral staircase is a second full living room. An almost exact replica of the upstairs, your crew will enjoy plenty of comfortable seating, a second gas fireplace, and a big HDTV. There are endless opportunities here. The kids’ haven? The man cave? The girls’ getaway? Or maybe all of the above at different times during your stay!

KITCHEN AND DINING

Who enjoys cooking? Everyone will in this fully-equipped and updated kitchen.

With a beautifully upscale rustic vibe, this space features stainless steel appliances, and an unusual, Short's Brewery backsplash and ode to the former owner and head brewer at Short's, a well know brewery and fantastic restaurant in Bellaire.

Enjoy lovely views of the outside greenery from a double window.

The adjacent dining room accommodates 8 around a classic wood table.

BEDROOMS AND BATHS

All four bedrooms offer heavy log-cabin furnishings, with nightstands and lamps.
Upstairs is one queen bedroom and a full bath with a walk-in tiled shower and frameless door.
Downstairs are two queen bedrooms and one bedroom with a double and twin bed. The downstairs bath offers charming tin accents and a walk-in shower.

OUTDOOR AMENITIES

A fire pit offers languid nights, telling jokes and ghost stories while feasting on hot dogs, marshmallows, and s’mores.

The outdoor wood fired sauna is magical. Start the wood burning stove and enjoy a relaxing sauna within 30-40 minutes.

Be sure to enjoy your coffee or a meal al fresco, sitting at the dining table in the front of the chalet.
