「Hotel was amazing and owner very friendly. However we booked on Expedia because included free breakfast however owner wanted to charge us $20 pp. we went off site for breakfast. Also couldn’t get the TV to work in the living room, we made the owner aware.」

「Absolutely a must-stay for lovers of art and design. The whole property is immaculate, and the room was comfortable and quiet. Delicious drinks and pastries are steps away at Father Forgive Me and Warda Patisserie. The location is also convenient to downtown (15 minutes). 」

「I had double booked my reservation, and cancelled the wrong date as soon as I learned of it. This hotel still charged me for both. They accepted over $400 and refused to cancel it because it was a "no show." They present themselves as a luxury hotel, but their customer service was that of a much lower class facility. I would not recommend booking here under any circumstances. They provided no service at all, but they kept my payment. 」

「Exceeded expectations. Great hotel that is perfectly located in downtown Detroit. Walking distance to Little Caesars Arena, Comerica Park, and Ford Field. Also Detroit Opera House, Fillmore, and Fox. Room was awesome. Breakfast in Rise is very good. The Lone Goat pub is attached and awesome. Lots of shops, cocktail bars, etc in the immediate area. Definitely will go back.」

「The hotel is basically brand new. The rooms and bathrooms are modern, clean, and well appointed. The hotel lobby has a nice open atrium area that is suitable for lounging. Stag was wonderful. The neighborhood is pretty good by Detroit standards. Close to Little Caesar’s arena. 」

「The hotel was very dirty. The halls smelled like smoke and urine. The side door to get in was broken. The elevator was broken. We ended up leaving and getting our money back. 」

「Sofa bed was dirty sheets not clean and found objects from prior guests inside bed. 」

「The hotel was clean and renovated. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The food was good as well. Overall everything was great. The only problem I had was the ice machine wasn't working on the floor I was on but everything else was perfect.」

「The A/C was broken, did not function at all; the shower door has high pitch squeaking sound every time i closed it. Everything else is good.」

「Room floor was dirty, ants everywhere. Moved bed to be closer to outlet and find bottom of bed full of trash from previous stays. Bedsheets as well as towels all stained and walls covered in dust. Very neglected place.」
