Dated but cozy

Great location, fire place and layout made it feel like I was back in my parents home in the late 80's. Clean with everything we needed to enjoy the new years!

Family getaway

This little getaway was exactly what we were looking for. The bike trails and Sharc are a great way to relax and get out and take in this amazing community. Very convenient that the house is very close to the village.

Nice but outdated

I'd recommend that housekeeping leave the porch light on so guests can find it if they come in in the dark. We had to get out a flashlight and walk up to a few houses to find the right house, third time's a charm. The smoke detector was taken apart and put on the kitchen counter. We put the battery in but couldn't hang it up cause it was too high (besides, not our job) and it chirped in the night.... maintenance came the next day at our request to fix this issue. The house was ok. It didn't look as dated in the photos. It's very dated. Well organized and nice for our quick stay. The cruiser bikes were great. Sunriver is a magical place for us, we've been coming for 14 yrs and love it.

Wonderful! But please read about Sunriver.

Beautiful property! Beautiful area! We woke up to deer at our back porch every morning. When we booked I missed the fine print in one of the reviews that clarified this place does NOT have a hot tub on premises. You are walking distance to the village and the bike paths can take you all over the beautiful countryside. Bike and dine early to avoid crowds. The Sunriver Brewery was excellent. Plenty in town for kids to do but beware, the cost isn’t exactly friendly. Haha! Also the grocery store has zero in the way of alternative or organic products (like organic fruit, gluten free bread, etc) But, the scenery and the nature are what you come for. And our cabin was absolutely delightful!

Great location, functional but tired property in need of an update!

Check in process was very easy as you are notified of a lockbox code the morning of arrival. Location is within easy walking distance of the Village and all it’s fantastic amenities. Bike trail runs past the property which is handy especially with younger aged kids. The property itself is a little outdated and could do with a revamp. Perhaps some newer fresh bedding, cushions, and blankets. Also some inexpensive new kitchenware. The TV is extremely small and only has one kids channel so if by the end of the day your kids are exhausted and are allowed to calm down watching a show, you might need to make sure you bring something with you. No air conditioning, but the nights were cooling down whilst we were there so it wasn’t a problem. We had brought fans with us for if it hadn’t have cooled down. Toiletries and cleaning supplies were in limited quantity and very low quality, so suggest bringing your own shampoo and conditioner. No body wash available and toilet paper was very thin. Luckily we had brought some toilet tissue wipes for the kids to use otherwise it would have been a mess! All in all, the property is adequate, but the location is the winner for this rental!

Great Stay

My husband and I stayed for 6 nights. House is comfortable. Beds are very comfortable. Very convenient location to the village and directly next to the bike path. Kitchen has most amenities. We cooked most nights so I brought a few items that I knew we would need. House has a grill that we utilized several nights. Previous occupants did not leave it cleaned. Since house has no a/c we brought 2 box fans and ran them after dusk to bring in cool air. House stayed cool mostly all day (pulled blinds in afternoon). Area is very quiet and nice to sit out on the back deck in the evenings. Internet worked great for phones and laptop. We didn’t watch tv but for those that would, tv is small and cable has only a handful of local stations. Bring your own dvds for movies. House had 3 adult bikes and 2 kid bikes. Some of the bikes need maintenance. We had a great time riding bikes. Would be helpful to have larger bungie cords to attach the basket for carrying groceries etc. Home did not include helmets. People in SR are very friendly! Felt safe in this family friendly community. 17 miles from Bend with options for many great hikes and attractions.

Spring break getaway

We stayed here for two nights during spring break...I will share the good and “needs improvement”. Good: 1. Amazing location - quick walk or bike ride to village. 2. Wifi worked very well despite previous reviews saying the opposite. We had 5 cell phones and a laptop all working efficiently with no issues. Needs improved: 1. Management communication - I messaged via VRBO/Vacasa twice, first at the time of reservation the week prior as well as after confirmed booking to ask if wifi had been updated based on previous reviews as I had an important work item I would have to attend to. No response either time. I ended up bringing a plug-in booster just in case but didn’t need it. 2. Hot tub - I purposely filtered VRBO search results to only include houses with a hot tub. This house matched that and fit our other criteria on location and having bikes. There is no hot tub on-site! They are advertising as a hot tub property because of SHARQ passes included which is not the same. (Plus SHARQ facilities were closed during the week so we couldn’t hot tub there either). Yes I should have noticed no hot tub included in property photos or description details but this filter match is misleading. We would have stayed elsewhere had I realized it. 2. Pantry items in kitchen - salt and pepper were the only items in the pantry. Basics such as olive oil, a few spices, and a little sugar for coffee would be so appreciated and helps to cut down the expense of buying those items for a short stay. Most vacation rentals we’ve stayed in recently (even during COVID) have had those type items or even more. Overall a decent vacation home, outdated but cozy.

Cute cabin

We love Sunriver, this was a great little cabin. Very clean. Good sleep space. Kitchen easy to cook in. Great outdoor patio and porch. Wish it had 2 showers. Wifi was slow.

No frills /amenities.

On positive it’s location is great and property was clean. Other than this it doesn’t have a lot going for it. Kitchen is very limited along with the entire property. If looking for more of hotel room this works great. I would not spend a week in this property.

Thanksgiving 2019

Came for thanksgiving, enjoyed all the snow! Participated in annual turkey trot fun run- cold but sunny and fun as always. We have been coming to Sunriver for 20 years now and are never disappointed with all it has to offer. This property was in a great location, close to store/mall. It is an older property that could use some new beds in loft area. Kitchen was well stocked for turkey dinner cooking. Overall good place.

Adorable! Loved everything about our stay!

Absolutely perfect getaway cabin! The location is great, walking distance to the village. Right on the bike path. A little outdated, but super cute and cozy. Despite not having AC, it stayed very cool and comfortable! It felt much bigger than we expected. We'll definitely stay here again!

Everything you need !

This was our second stay at this house. It is perfectly placed between the village and sharc for us. Furnishings are a bit dated and the twin beds in the loft still need to be replaced but everything else just works for us. Love the bird feeder and the bike baskets! Included SHARC passes!!!

Disappointing stay

We have always loved staying in the past but this year was very disappointing. It was too hot and we had no air conditioning, we left windows open at night and closed everything during the day leaving fans on but did not help. Due to the fires we had not internet or TV for almost 24 hours. We ended up leaving the night of the 24th instead of our scheduled check out date of 7/26.

Can't beat location!

Perfect location to walk/ride bikes to the village and/or SHARC. Cute house and plenty of room for the four of us. The bed upstairs could be replaced as it seemed worn and was not very comfortable. Otherwise, we loved everything about the house and our trip!

Nice little place, beds & bedding need upgraded

Nice home, kitchen well stocked with pans, dishes, etc. Only downside was beds--it's winter & the beds all had an old, thin, single blanket on them. The two bigger beds had a an old thin coverlet as well that looked like it hadn't been washed recently. We had to run the thermostat pretty high to stay warm the first night. When we called & asked for extra blankets, they sent over 3 more blankets even thinner than the ones there. The sheets were all threadbare and the ground floor bed was lumpy. Upgrading the mattresses & bedding would make me want to stay here again. Convenient location near entrance.
