The perfect oasis for the end of a great trip

This house was exactly what we needed after a short, end of summer trip. We arrived on a vert warm late September day and couldn't believe all of the activity on the river. The home itself was great but we will be back just to experience the backyard.

Beautiful Spot

We had a great time staying in this beautiful home. Great location - we walked into downtown. Home is well stocked and bed was comfortable. The view of the river from the backyard was wonderful! We would definitely recommend this home.

Lovely family gathering

We had a wonderful week in Bend! The house was absolutely perfect! The view of the river was amazing and everybody loved the hot tub! It was walking distance to downtown, as well as the old Mill District! We would absolutely stay here again

A Stone’s Throw Bungalow was easy and attentive to work with.

Riverfront home is a great house. This is the second time we have stayed at this property for a family vacation. Property is comfortable and fully equipped with everything needed for our stay. River front is icing on the cake. Highly recommend this property. Enjoy!

Perfect spot in Bend

We’ve got two young boys (5 & 8) and this location couldn’t have been more perfect - we walked EVERYWHERE. Parks / playgrounds available both directions, downtown a quick & lovely stroll thru Drake Park and places to eat right down Galveston. The house is comfortable & the view of the river cannot be beat. We will definitely be back!!

Perfect Bend spot

We had a great stay at Stone’s Throw. The house was great and well equipped. The location on the river was perfect for paddle boarding and floating. It’s a quick bike ride or walk to several breweries and town. Diana was great and communicated quickly. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely perfect!

The house was perfect for our 4 person family. The beds were comfortable, even the pull out beds (I didn’t know that was even possible.) It was walking distance from everything we needed; parks, gas stations, grocery stores, etc. We will definately be back when we are back in Bend.

Best Location Ever!

This house is like a second home right on the river. We enjoyed walking downtown, rafting and hiking during the day. Everything is a short walk away. Sitting in the hot tub while enjoying the river view made a dreamy vacation. The house is very clean with a well appointed kitchen and bathrooms. Beds are comfortable too. When we return to Bend, we plan to stay at this house again.

Peaceful retreat

Such a lovely peaceful spot! We loved the hot tub by the river with views of gathering ducks and geese just starting their spring time thing. We’ll be back for a longer stay! We love Bend. The nearby coffee house by the river was amazing! Sadly our experience at Deschutes Brewery was terrible due to poor new management and rude personnel. We should have eaten here at Riverfront in the well equipped and comfortable kitchen and dining spaces.

Excellent location!

This was our 2nd visit to this property and we once again loved the home and our time in Bend. The location is perfect and the view is amazing. The only reason why we rated it 4 stars is because the cable was out. The owner addressed the issue and that it could not be fixed prior to our arrive. Everything else was perfect. The communication with the owner was good. The house was super clean. The beds were comfy. The hot tub and view was amazing. Thank you and we will be back!!

My opinion

It is my opinion that VRBO guests should not be asked to do the jobs that they have paid housekeeping to do, ie load dishwasher, load laundry etc. Thank you for considering my opinion.

Very comfortable for ski vacay

Two couples and two teens. This place had great space to spread out. We visited in winter, for easy access to the mountain. We all wished we were visiting in summer, to take advantage of the easy access to the waterway!

Fantastic location for ski vacation right next to downtown

The location is near perfect. Easy to get to Century Drive, so skiing is less than 30 minutes away. We walked to downtown several times, along Drake Park, about 17 minutes to the heart of downtown. Sunriver Brewpub and 10 Barrel brewpub are both within 3 blocks, as well as a tavern and gas/convenience store.The house itself was perfect for our annual ski trip. Two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, and plenty of space to relax. Kitchen utensils were well stocked and in great shape for cooking. There is a barbecue but we didnt use it. There are summer toys (paddleboards and kayaks) on site. The garage had a door opener, which was great for not having to defrost/de-ice the car every morning. It was tight, but my full size SUV did fit. The hot tub was heated when we got there. The views of the river flowing by were most relaxing over coffee every morning while watching the sun come up. Check in was as easy as a code sent via email before arrival, and check out was the easiest I have ever done: the only ask was to start the dishwasher. No stripping of linens, etc, as the laundry is done by a service off site. The renter sent a message every day asking if anything was needed, and they even shoveled the driveway after it had snowed while we were gone skiing!This property has a strict outdoor noise curfew both posted and sent as a reminder. If you want a “party” house, this is not for you. If you are two couples or a family of four or five, this place is tough to beat.

We've stayed at this house several times. That should say it all - Being on the river and a great house with such a convenient location. We golfed at many of the nearby courses.

Amazing location! Incredibly peaceful and fun

We loved our stay! The location was perfect for a summer getaway! We hopped right into the river for daily floats and loved people watching all the floaters throughout the day. So much fun, well appointed and incredibly friendly and accommodating hosts!

So fun!

We had such a wonderful stay at this house. We floated the deschuttes starting at river park back down to the house - about one and a half hours. It was so, so fun! The house was clean and a perfect location. Enjoy!

Great Location and Space

Loved the river access and spent a lot of time enjoying working on the deck. Can't beat walking distance to the amphitheater and downtown, not to mention everything on Galveston right out the door. Thanks!
