Great location near Village and Great Hall

This was a perfect spot to accommodate a brief work trip - easy walking distance to the Village shops/food/etc and a short (walkable) distance to activities at the Great Hall and Lodge. All amenities were as advertised. Check-in/check-out was simple and easy!

Surprised and shocked

I read all the previous reviews and was worried. One person complained there was no A/C or fans. I saw complaints about the BBQ and appliances and cleanliness. To be certain, this is a cabin, not a mansion. It’s in great shape relative to other sunriver places. The unit had a few cobwebs up high but nothing gross or ugly! They had a NEW bbq on site. The thing was amazing. Had I known, I would have planned more grilled meals. They had a portable A/C system in the home, the first time I’ve had A/C in sunriver. They had many available fans. Tons of pillows and blankets and towels. Good quality too! New appliances throughout. Great cable and internet. The bikes were great. Location was great. Less desireable: The hot tub was a bit funky. I saw it was serviced the week before but was it a bromine or salt water? Water was a bit yellow, but that’s the fault of the contracted pool guy. You can tell guests had been very hard on it, at no fault to the owner. The weather: obviously not the owners control but plan your summertime trip expecting smoky air and wildfires nearby. This is our new world. It closed the SHARC sporadically. The owners tv and internet was a great fallback. Thank God for a cozy fun place. Feedback: GREAT owners! Thank you. Maybe add a video game system, outdoor toys (water guns?), or basketball hoop - just cause the weather and wildfires won’t always cooperate.

The most wonderful place to stay! The home was fantastic and well-stocked with thoughtful extras. The location was amazing, so close to the village while still quiet and peaceful. We loved it!

Annual family vacay

The location was the best part of our stay!The house wasn’t cleaned well, there were only two rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom, no washcloths, the showers were ridiculously small and the show curtains didn’t stop any water from coming out on to the floor.The ‘AC’ was a wall unit thing that absolutely didn’t cool anything down so it should not post that there was AC in the house…

Great spot!

The house had everything we needed for our ski weekend. The layout was open and cozy. Small details included hooks to hang towels on, chargers by the beds, and blinds that worked well. Close walk to the Village and Lodge.

Great Family Vacation

This home was GREAT!! we came to Sunriver for 4 day with a family of 4 (2 girls 7 & 11). The home was well stocked with everything we needed! We went to SHARC everyday with the passes provided in the home. It was a very short walk to the town center. The only downfall is the air conditioner does not keep up with the home. It got hot around 2 pm... it was nice out so we were able to hang outside and the home had fans to run at night time.

One of our favorite Sunriver vacation homes so far!

We loved this Sunriver vacation home. We came with our two little kids who loved playing on the deck and in the dirt out back. There was plenty of room for our 4 person family and could have fit two more comfortably. You can't beat the location right across from the village and market. It was only like a 5 min walk to the village with a bike/walking trail right outside the house. This house was also great because it came with sharc passes, bikes that are in great shape, and a hot tub which was a bonus. We enjoyed just hanging out on the back deck surrounded by trees. We also got to know a very nice neighbor who let us borrow their bike trailer for our kids to ride in. We'd definitely rent this vacation home again.

Needs updating

There are pros and cons with this Sunriver rental. By far the best feature is the location. It is quiet, woodsy, and within a few minutes' walk of the village. It could not be in a more ideal spot. The hot tub is also very nice. It's a nice temperature, roomy, and easy to use. However, we were disappointed with the overall appearance of the unit, which needs updating. There were burned out lightbulbs in two rooms, a broken lamp in the corner of a bedroom, a closet door that got stuck every time you closed it, and a heavy sliding door to the patio that was very difficult to open or close. The shower curtain in the master bathroom was so flimsy that it billowed inward and made it difficult to shower in what was an extremely small shower. Our biggest disappointment was the gas fireplace, which did not work. The weather was cold while we were there and the fireplace was one reason we chose this house. The directions were unclear, and when we couldn't get it to work I called the owner. She emailed me the same instructions, and didn't respond the second time when we told her it still didn't work. The house was fairly clean, but when we went to put our sheets in the washer on the day we left we found it full of wet towels that had been there for at least the three days we were there. Since we stayed there on a holiday weekend, we paid a high rate, which was too much for this level of quality. This unit meets basic needs, but don't expect luxury or up-to-date furnishings.

We had a wonderful time! The house was cozy. We went for Thanksgiving and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed to fix our meal. The hot tub was perfect and clean. The fireplace wasn’t working but that was fine. The beds were super comfortable! The house is close to the village. We would definitely stay there again!!!
