Great cabin in the woods!

Loved the coziness of this cabin. The hot tub out in the trees was a relaxing end of our day. The fans were great to cool the house @ night. Great location on the bike paths and short walk to coffee @ The Village. Appreciated the passes for the boat launch for easy access with our paddle boards and kayak. Wonderful!

An imperfect rental. Hot with no AC. However my family and I would absolutely return to stay again! It’s a beautiful place. The loaner bikes were a pleasant surprise. We were grateful it is dog friendly. Friendly families. Fantastic Park. Noisy train. Great communication with Vacasa.

Home not clean

The house was extremely dusty, not cleaned. It is a was apet friendly house. My dogs went wild sniffing popcorn and dorritos in and under the couches. Then outside they showed me were the bowls, a glass, and a butter knife were. I am not going to rant and rave anymore but....I will not be renting another home from VaCasa in sunriver Oregon.

Family Vacation

Our entire family met in Sunriver for a vacation. We loved staying at 5 Butternut. It was close to everything and very comfortable. Yes there is the train, but the children loved the train and it only came by once a day and certain days not at all! The house had everything we needed. Adults and children were all comfortable - Wifi for our computer dependent ones and great afternoon naps for those who were trying to get away from work! Looking forward to returning next year!

Sunriver is a perfect vacation spot. This rental is very run down... so run down and cheap fixtures, etc. That I would call this shabby. Did not appear clean, although it likely was clean...rusty shower door, dirty caulk. Did not mind the train. Location was great.

Needs a deep clean, needs electrical plugs updated or repaired, needs A/C or more fans offered..Our little 1 is learning to walk but is also crawling around, the top of his feet, his knees and hands were filthy..Hardwood is pretty, but still needs cleaned, maybe shampoo the carpets they have on the floors..Loved, loved the kitchen table, bench and coffee table though..

The pictures make this cabin look bigger than it actually is. The floors were filthy! And the two fans they had were covered in dust. I had to fix the toilet twice and the toaster was broken. There was also a load of wet towels in the washer. I would not recommend this home.

Adequate home. Read details carefully

No A/C so if you are here in summer be prepared. It cools off at night, but if temps are over 90 you will be uncomfortable. As it was over 100 when we checked in we only stayed one night and left in favor of accommodations with air conditioning. Home is clean, but I would call it “bare bones” for comfort. Seems odd when it’s not difficult to add room air conditioning units to a home these days.

Good stay, disappointing amenities

Overall, this house was nice enough. We enjoyed the hot tub and being able to walk to Sunriver Village. However, some of the things in the house were broken or in horrible condition. The top rack of the dishwasher was broken and fell out of the dishwasher at one point, the only big frying pan had cracks and scrapes in the teflon so we couldn't use it, and we had to buy ice from the store because ice trays in the freezer never actually froze (even though they were in there all weekend). Our group takes a trip to Sunriver annually and won't be staying at this property again.

Bring your own mattresses

I saw in the years past reviews of this home there were some mentions of uncomfortable outdated mattresses. I thought to myself, that’s embarrassing for a place that’s supposed to be all about rest and relaxation, surely they have fixed the problem by now. Nope. Our family got terrible sleep and went away sore and very tired. Not the getaway we had hoped for. Definitely will take those reviews more seriously now as I feel like we wasted our money. The rest of the house was outdated but fine.

Older home with SHARC passes

Older home. No AC, which would be an issue on many summer days. Ok furnishings. Instructions for TV/cable incomplete. Thank goodness kids could figure it out. Kids complained bunk beds not comfortable. Only 1 key to the place. Good thing for lock box since 2 families staying. Need more plates and bowls or a note to bring paper plates. Not enough mixing/serving bowls. Hot tub slow to heat up. Nice to have passes to SHARC and the other rec center. Floor needed mopping when we got there. No mop in the broom closet. Weather was great. We got to play tennis, float the river, ride bikes, etc.

Trains, hot tubs, and a well stocked kitchen!

This place is a mixed bag. We celebrated Thanksgiving here and we were able to cook to our hearts content with the well stocked kitchen… lots of baking dishes, pans, waffle maker, etc… And the hot tub was delightful… no privacy fencing but neighbors are far enough away so it didn’t matter. What did matter was the number of freight trains that ran behind the property. Tracks were close - 30 yards away maybe? It was cool the first couple of times but they came through 10 times a day. Stars were beautiful though and we were so very happy with the wood stove, proper television and walking paths! I’d go again if the fees weren’t so high on top of the standard rate.

Cute, quaint little place in Sunriver. Close to restaurants and shops. Loved that the SHARC passes were included. Bunk beds were helpful with kids. Enjoyed the hot tub, riding bikes and cooking in the open kitchen. First time in Sunriver and using Vacasa. The view in the back is right next to the railroad tracks. Trains were loud, would have been nice to know ahead of time. Beds were very uncomfortable, so much so that some members of our group chose to sleep on the couches. We loved that we could bring our fur baby too! There was a lot of dog hair on the comforters and rug from previous guests. The hot water does not last long, especially if you are running the washing machine or dish washer. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Clean, Tidy, Cozy

The house was cozy and warm upon arrival. Great place to rest your head for a quick visit to Sunriver.
