Great Berlin stay
This is a lovely little hotel. The location is away from the city but you literally have a train station at your doorstep. Lovely little eateries close by, and major supermarkets a couple of stations away. It was perfect for our stay in Berlin

Although the hotel was generally well presented, and the staff were friendly, I was disappointed with some problems with my room and the lack of response. The window blind was broken, room very dusty (from the ceiling fan) and shower tray overflowed very quickly. However, the staff were helpful with storing luggage, and the hotel was very conveniently located right by a U-bahn station which meant getting around was very easy.

Wir als dreiköpfige Familie brauchten eine bezahlbare Unterkunft mit guter Nahverkehrsanbindung. Die Anbindung ist wirklich gut, aber das mit dem bezahlbar kann ich nicht wirklich unterschreiben. Wir zahlten am Ende 200€ fürs Parken, Schlafen und Frühstücken pro Nacht. Das Schlafen war wirklich gut, weil die Betten ggü. dem was wir sonst erlebt haben überhaupt nicht durchgelegen waren. Das Frühstück finde ich für 17€ frech und vermittelt mir das Gefühl damit etwas anderes querfinanziert zu haben. Wenn auch die Produkte selber in Ordnung waren, so war die Auswahl doch sehr überschaubar. Der Parkplatz kostet extra und wird auch benötigt. Die Straßen in unmittelbarer Umgebung bieten kaum bis keine Parkplätze und ehrlich gesagt möchte ich mein Auto dort auch nicht auf der Straße stehen haben. Die Umgebung wirkt auf mich ungepflegt und das Thema Alkohol und Drogen lässt nicht lange auf sich warten.
Unterm Strich ist das Hotel gut zum Übernachten, wenn man schnell hin und weg kommt. Fürs Frühstück empfehle ich in die Stadt zu fahren und als Anreise eher die Bahn als das Auto.
Würde ich wieder im Ibis Berlin City Süd übernachten? Eher nein. Nächstes Mal gebe ich mehr Geld aus, bekomme hoffentlich mehr dafür und habe auf dem Weg von und zum Hotel nicht permanent ein mulmiges Gefühl.
