“The property was old but had new carpet in halls and room. Upon checkin We had an issue with our room key not working. After having the front desk rekey it 3 times, the person at the desk came up and said the mechanism needed a new battery. He let us in our room using a master key. “This truly was a perfect place to get away from it all and relax. The place was spotless, full of all amenities you might need. The coffee/tea bar with delicious cinnamon rolls was a lovely treat. “First off, they gave us the wrong room. We were supposed to have a room with 2 queen beds, a pull out couch and a kitchen. They did move us to a 2 queen and pull out, but didn't adjust our bill. We had to ask for an extra towel three times, the pool was being renovated and the whole hotel was under major renovations. “Staff were friendly and location is great for visiting the surrounding area. Place was recently sold and renovated, but it's still a work in progress. Rooms on the south west side have cool views to the beach and river. Parking gets crowded, especially with visitors who aren't hotel guests. Room had some broken bathroom tiles and elevator glitched while we were on it. At the end of the day, it's an affordable place that puts you close to town and the beach.”

“This is a newer property so we were surprised at how poorly it was maintained. Our room was not cleaned well, the shower floor was stained with what looked like grease and oil, the floor trim and walls in the bathroom were poorly repaired and in bad shape. We could not check in at 3 pm and had to wait until roughly 5pm with no offer of a discount or courtesy offer. We will think twice before staying at a Holiday Inn again.”
