「The owner was so friendly and made us feel right at home! He made us a delicious breakfast and was so accommodating. The bed was comfy and the decorations were beautiful and artsy. Right there at the ocean!! So lovely!」

「The property is a little tired but it's so easy to overlook that with the warmth of the welcome and fantastic service. Breakfast was all cooked fresh to order (with perfectly poached eggs!!) and the place was spotlessly clean. We'll definitely stay again when in Hastings with our dog.」

「Nice friendly staff on arrival. Room was large and comfortable, with ensuite bathroom. Lovely large bath, but shower was a bit hit and miss with temperature. Well stocked hospitality tray which included hot chocolate and biscuits, plus tea and coffee. Hotel is conveniently located to town, beach, restaurants and theatres. On site parking was a bonus (and free). Breakfast was cereal, fruit salad etc, plus choice of hot food, cooked to order. This was our third stay and will be returning....

「Good onsite parking within a very short walk to Battle high street and abbey but unfortunately the abbey park grounds were closed but none the less had a lovely pre Christmas one night stay at the Chequers, the food was of good quality both evening and breakfast, staff friendly and helpful, the room spacious and mattress very comfortable but could all do with refreshing but bear in mind it is a very old Inn circa 1478 but what is really needed are blackout blinds on the windows as our room was...
