"Had a lovely stay at Windsor cottage. Well presented, great amenities and the most comfortable bed in the master bedroom. Slept like a log! Ate out in local restaurants, which were lovely especially Alberto’s Italy. There are a couple of free parking areas in town 5-10 minutes away. During our stay there was a film set in place for Father Brown and a restriction at the end of the road. It didn’t take away from our stay, but was glad of the premier inn parking just a 100m away. "Stayed for one night with family and really enjoyed it. It was also good price for the night with breakfast. The hotel is clean, breakfast was lovely. The grounds are really nice with sitting area/terrace with tables ...lots of green, trees and flowers which are well maintained. The staff were very pleasant. We had a good night sleep ..it was very peaceful and quiet in the hotel. Swimming pool is alright size (could be a bit wider as it got a bit busy but we still enjoyed our swim). Would definitely stay here again."

"Rooms are well maintained. However on my stay, Air con willl not provide any heat if you are cold only cool air circulation. Policy is whole building is heated and rooms can not change temperature from room stat. Parking is not part of the hotel charge and is seperate to your bill. £6 parking charge per night. Rear rooms over look carpark at rear of hotel so you may be able to keep an eye on your vehicle from your room. Rooms have additional facilities that make a short buisness stay easy. Small desk area and sockets, TV, Iron, Tea / Coffee Kettle etc... Bathroom is Clean and functional. Would recommend."

"When I arrived, there was no one at reception and I had to wait quite some time before a staff member returned to check me in. I was also disappointed to find that the health club had already closed upon my arrival at 8:15pm, despite the website stating it closes at 9pm. Later that evening, at around 10:30pm, the same staff member entered my room without knocking while I was in the bathroom. When I asked what they wanted, they asked for my name and then stated that the room was supposed to be empty. I explained that there had clearly been a mistake, as they had personally checked me in earlier. They then left without apologising. I found the situation quite strange and raised it with the staff member on duty the following morning, but they appeared completely uninterested. Room and whole hotel in general is pretty dated and not particularly clean. Wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it unfortunately!"

"Stayed here for two nights. The room was clean and spacious. Good facilities in room but it was incredibly hot during our visit so a fridge in room would have improved our stay as no air conditioning but not many days in England you would need it. Breakfast was lovely, small but everything you could want. Evening menu was a bit limited and I probably would go somewhere else for an evening meal. The staff were all excellent, friendly and helpful."
