A stylish one-bedroom apartment five minutes from the beach. The view of sunset over Lundy Island is spellbinding. Kipling Terrace, a 1869 Grade II listed building, looks over Westward Ho! with panoramic views of the sea, nature reserve, England's oldest golf course and Saunton Sands. The Ho is in one of the 12 World Surfing Reserves while Torridge is the sixth happiest place to live in the UK according to ONS.
Pros:
1. Amazing views with the sound of the sea, eight minutes from the beach.
2. Historic. Grade II. This is where Rudyard Kipling (The Jungle Book, If and Boots) went to school.
3. Spacious: living room is 5m x 5m x 3m; bedroom is 3m x 3m.
3. Comfy leather sofa, and sofa bed.
4. Stylish: period but minimalist. Recently decorated throughout.
5. Solid WiFi, good 4G signal.
Cons:
1. There is scaffolding to the front of the building. This should come down in the next few weeks. The upside is the front is being freshly painted.
2. No TV.
3. There are some of my things here. Please help yourself to any dried and tinned food etc. And please do move things around.
4. The wood burner cannot be used (no flue).
The living room really is rather grand and has been decorated in the period style. The bay windows look over Lundy Island, the ocean, the nature reserve. This is a one bed flat. Kipling Terrace was built in 1869 and is a Grade II listed building. It's grand and white, and reminds me of Brighton. There is a panel of William Morris wallpaper in each room.
