Big Sur Lodge
Courteous staff and easy check in. Roomy cabin (14), but there was a distinct smell of burnt wood (from the fireplace). Location is ideal if you want to visit the nearby parks or trails.

Carmel Valley Ranch, in The Unbound Collection by Hyatt
Beautiful, spacious rooms, great food, helpful staff. This would be 5 stars, but for the fact that the room was unheated for the first night. The thermostat problem was fixed the next day.

This is my new favorite place in Carmel! There was a valet to greet our car when we rolled up and showed us where to go to check in. The front desk attendant was amazing!
