「Beautiful, clean property. Loved being on the river. House had everything we needed. 」

「We were in town for a wedding at the Chestnut Inn. We needed a place that was close to the Inn because our 9 month old granddaughter was staying behind with her grandpa. That way her parents could get back to her quickly if needed. Also, other family members who hadn’t met her yet could come to the VRBO and hang out with us for the afternoon in a homey setting. We loved the proximity to the river, the porch and deck, the clean kitchen and the washer/dryer. The only drawback was the very steep...

「the photos don't do this place justice! This place is so beautiful and peaceful. The hot tub was so warm and the bed was super comfy. The pool table definitely has been loved so be careful when using it. 」

「This house was beautifully, corky decorated and we all loved it. The hosts provide you with everything from Qtips, to dental plackers to hairdryers, indoor and outdoor games and plenty of towels. The central air was a life saver and the 3 full bathrooms were amazing. Can't say enough about how much we loved this place and will definitely stay again. 」

「This property was amazing for our extended family stay. There was plenty of space to stretch out and do your own thing and then come together for meals. Kitchen was ample size to be able to cook for our large party. Paddle boards and kayaks were a great addition and lots of fish were caught. Would definitely recomment this for your extended families stay! 」

「The lake is beautiful and provides activities, the goats are very cute, the house was clean and comfortable, with A/C, plenty of hot water and water pressure for showers, and space for our things. Just what we wanted for a family long weekend with 3 generations. The owners were very responsive. The deck is in desperate need of a coat of paint and some other maintenance though - hopefully the owners can do some upkeep on the outdoor space soon. 」

However, the overall cleanliness of the rental could be improved, especially in the common areas, which were not as tidy as expected. It would be great if more attention could be given to cleaning before the next guest’s arrival. On a positive note, the host was responsive and helpful, especially when we had an issue with the storage key」

「Would recommend to anyone. Our family stayed here in 2014. Upgrades on furniture since then we're great. Beds were all comfort, which is huge for us since we used them all. Three generations of us enjoyed the property, house and that fantastic view. What was our family farm (1940’s) could be seen across the valley making it extra special. Thank you to our awesome hosts. Your place allowed us to gather together for a tough weekend.」
